Chapter 272 Graduation (2)

Chapter 272 Graduation (2)

The Next Day...

As I thought, the graduation ceremony was held the day after the graduation exam results were out. We were all informed to assemble in the auditorium, where the ceremony would be held.

The auditorium was quite large. Every final-year student is here, and yet there is still a lot of vacant space available. A few have died over the years but most of the students that entered the academy in the same year as me are still here.

Man, it was already five years before I knew it. Time sure flies away before one can truly grasp that it is gone.

In addition to the students, there are also a few staff and professors who taught our batch including the twins. This may be the last time I would see most of these people.

Once we leave the academy tomorrow, I don't think that we will cross paths again in the future with most of them. I am sure, only a few would be able to survive long enough to meet one another. Even then, I don't know many of these students here.

I may have heard about them but I don't know them personally. Once we leave the academy, even the ones with whom I shared classes would be forgotten. Very few would be able to keep in touch.

It is similar to what I experienced back on Earth. Many of my school mates and college mates were forgotten. Everyone had their own life and once we graduated, we drifted away from each other.

I missed many of my old friends as time passed but circumstances kept each from one another.

There is nothing that could be done about it, but it is what it is.

---

It was quite boring.

I know the ceremony was saying goodbye to us, but it was boring.

The headmaster of the academy appeared a few minutes after every student arrived and took a seat in the auditorium. It was as if he knew when to come. I mean, he should be the most powerful in the academy and that means he is probably at Tier-8 or even at Tier-9 rank.

So, knowing whether everyone has arrived or not, would not be a big thing.

Ding!

Ah, another recruitment letter. This is from the Adventurer's Guild.

Ding!

Ding!

Damn it.

There are more recruitment letters. Now, I have to write a rejection letter to each one of them and that too in a polite manner. Why were so many interested in me?

This is such a hassle.

Wait, I can just write one and copy the content for everyone else. I have to make sure that I should change a few words as I would be addressing different people.

Though the salaries and opportunities offered by these organizations are good, it would have been good, if I didn't have so many secrets that can never come to light. If they do, I would be as good as dead and I would even implicate my family.

I may be at Tier-6 rank, but from the looks of it, the ancestors of this little kingdom might have reached Tier-9 and their skills may have even reached level 100 or would reach in a few years at the latest.

To them, I am but an ant. They can squash me with a snap. If they become greedy for the things in my procession, there is no way can I save myself from them. Even if I give up what I can give up, there is a high chance that I will be killed to keep the matter a secret.

Now that I have graduated officially, there is no reason to get under the scrutiny of another organization with so many secrets.

So, rejection it is.

I should take a day or two to show some respect and not outright reject them. If I outright reject them, they may get offended as I don't think that there are many who would reject offers like this.

Also, I should start my plan for touring the world, where to go, and where not to go. Though I can't prepare for everything out there, I am sure I can prepare for some matters.
