The Daily Life of the Demon King

Chapter 714 - 713: Seras Came to Visit the Bunker.

Chapter 714 - 713: Seras Came to Visit the Bunker.

Sitting behind the wheel of the house on wheels, Alex was talking to Dean and Sam, telling them about what he had done with the community of fanatics who believed in the end of the world and killed children. Dean and Sam didn't say a word about the fact that Alex had literally tortured Sullivan Knoth. Dean only swore, saying that he would have done the same. Sam refrained from commenting, continuing to listen to what Alex had seen in the community of fanatics. When Alex finished telling what had happened to him, he asked what had happened to Dean and Sam. And as soon as Alex's question sounded, the faces of Dean and Sam twisted in collective irritation with a long sigh. Hearing this drawn-out sigh, Alex turned his head toward Dean and Sam, trying not to get distracted from the road.

Seeing the faces of Dean and Sam, Alex couldn't understand what exactly they had experienced in Mount Massive. After all, all the inhabitants of Mount Massive were ordinary psychos who could be killed and passed by. But the faces of Dean and Sam clearly indicated that for them it was not just about killing a bunch of psychos and moving on.

"What's with your faces? What kind of reaction is that?" Alex asked, looking at Dean and Sam in bewilderment.

"Look, we've seen a lot of shit. All kinds of monsters and ghosts are our everyday life. Demons — no problem. Angels… Well, they're feathered bastards…" Dean began to speak, looking at Alex with a gaze as if he was the one to blame for everything.

"What are you getting at? And why are you looking at me like I'm the biggest bastard on the entire planet?" Alex couldn't help but ask, still not understanding why Dean's look was so strange.

"Because you are the biggest bastard. You didn't say that two naked bastards would be chasing us all over the asylum. That image is going to haunt me for the rest of my life. And that's just one of the problems," Dean said in an irritated tone, clenching his fist, wanting to hit Alex.

"So why didn't you kill them? They're just people — a bullet to the head and keep going," Alex said, chuckling at the angry Dean.

"We thought so too… But they survived a shot to the head," Sam said with a heavy sigh, trying not to remember what he had seen.

"And why didn't you ask for help? You had Seras with you," Alex said, pointing his finger at Seras, who was talking with Samantha.

"We split up to finish everything faster. Otherwise, we wouldn't have been able to kill everyone in that asylum," Sam sighed wearily, explaining the reason why they had split up.

Alex could only shake his head sympathetically, showing that he himself hadn't expected anything like that. Dean sighed irritably once again, and then a wide smile appeared on his face. And as soon as Dean opened his mouth, Sam immediately covered his brother's mouth with a clear hint that he should shut up.

Seeing this, Alex felt that something very funny had happened that he needed to hear. Sam was looking at Dean with a gaze that said if Dean opened his mouth, he would throw him out of the house on wheels. Seeing Sam's reaction, Alex became even more interested in what had happened.

In the end, Dean pushed Sam's hand away and told what had happened to Sam. Dean said that after they split up because he had fallen through the floor, which caused them to separate, Sam was chased by a strange psycho. Alex expressed bewilderment at what was funny about that. Dean, holding back laughter, continued the story, saying that this psycho wanted to turn Sam into his wife.

Hearing this, Alex almost pressed the brake pedal and sharply turned his head back, looking at Sam. Sam nodded, telling his part after he and Dean had split up. Learning that Sam had been chased by Eddie Gluskin, who before ending up in Mount Massive had been a maniac and misogynist with dozens of murdered women on his account, Alex could no longer hold back and burst out laughing. Dean also joined Alex, and they began laughing together at Sam, who only sighed wearily.

Laughing, Alex felt something poke him in the side. Stopping his laughter, Alex turned his head and met Wednesday's cold eyes as she poked him in the side with a folding knife.

"Your laughter is disturbing my rest. Keep your eyes on the road," Wednesday said, slightly pressing the knife forward, making it clear that she needed silence.

"Ahem… Sorry. Keep resting," Alex said, coughing slightly, looking at Wednesday.

Wednesday looked at Alex with her black eyes and then calmly put the folding knife back in her pocket, as if she hadn't just threatened her husband with a knife. Turning away, Wednesday closed her eyes, placing her palms on her knees to continue her rest. Observing this, Sam couldn't hold back a smirk on his face, clearly enjoying how Alex was suffering.

Dean's lips twitched as he tried not to laugh, and he patted Alex on the shoulder supportively. After all, this wasn't the first time Wednesday had poked Alex with a knife when she was in a bad mood and needed silence. Alex wanted to snap back at Dean, but quickly fell silent. After all, Dean would face exactly the same fate in the future. While patting Alex on the shoulder, Dean slightly shuddered, sensing danger.

While Alex, Dean, and Sam were talking among themselves, Seras and Samantha continued their conversation. After all, before this they had only talked via messages. Samantha and Seras quickly found common ground, and Seras was telling her about everyday things. But mostly it was connected with Alex. Samantha's friends, who had rested a little after everything that had happened, looked at Alex, Dean, and Sam. And seeing how Alex and Dean were communicating, they understood why Samantha had said that Alex and Dean looked like brothers.

"Listen, Sammy. If you hadn't told me who these two were, I would have really thought that Alex was their younger brother," Jessica said, pointing at Dean and Sam.

"Mmm, that's true. I also thought Dean was Alex's brother," Seras chimed in, nodding her head.

"And you, Seras… Are you Alex's sister?" Ashley asked, looking at Seras.

"You're Ashley, right?… Why did you ask that?" Seras asked, blinking, not understanding the reason for the question.

"Isn't it obvious? The color of your eyes. I've only seen such unique eyes on one person. And he's currently sitting behind the wheel," Emily said, pointing toward the front of the cabin.

Hearing Emily's words, Samantha's friends nodded. After all, such an eye color was hard to miss, especially if you only knew one person with such a unique eye color as rainbow eyes. And now another owner of such rainbow eyes was sitting in front of them in the form of Seras herself.

But Samantha's friends noticed a small difference in Seras's eyes: while Alex's were rainbow-colored, red predominated among the others in Seras's. And now everyone was looking at Seras, waiting for her answer. Seras herself tried to smile, but her smile trembled because panic reigned inside her. Seras was well aware that she definitely could not tell them that she was half Nosferatu and half Apostle of Destruction, and that she was also Alex's fiancée.

Seras's gaze shifted to Samantha, and she lightly nudged her with her foot, asking for help. Samantha herself didn't know what she should answer. She also understood that she could not tell her friends that she was not Alex's only wife. Seras quickly took a small cap out of her pocket and threw it at the back of Alex's head with a silent request for help. Feeling the poke in the back of his head, Alex turned his head and looked into Seras's pleading eyes.

"Stop asking stupid questions. Such coincidences sometimes happen. And no, Seras is not my sister. And what our relationship is is also none of your business," Alex said in a calm tone, making it clear that all such questioning should be kept to themselves.

"Okay, okay, don't get heated. It's just that Seras is the second person with such eyes. And we got curious. This is possibly the most normal thing that has happened to us in these two days," Jessica said, waving off Alex's words.

"It's hard to argue with that. You went on vacation and met fanatics who decided to kill your friend. Literally a dream vacation," Dean said with a smirk, leaning on the driver's seat.

"Well, at least we didn't end up in a psychiatric hospital," Chris said quietly, leaning back in his seat and putting his hand on Ashley's shoulder.

"I remembered you. You're that couple because of whom we had to rush to pull your asses out of that cursed hospital… You're still hanging out with those… Dickfacers," Dean said, pointing at Chris and Ashley.

"Exactly, I also thought why these two seem familiar. They're from that group of idiots that ruined several of our cases," Sam said, nodding and looking at Chris and Ashley.

Chris immediately started coughing to hide his embarrassment, looking away. Ashley covered her face with her hands, perfectly understanding that the Ghostfacers group were still idiots who got themselves into danger. Observing Chris and Ashley's reaction, everyone laughed. After all, they had all said more than once that the group of nerds that Chris and Ashley were part of were still idiots.

Chris could only sigh awkwardly and wave his hand at Dean and Sam. All this time he had tried to remain unnoticed when Dean and Sam appeared. And Chris thought they wouldn't notice or remember him. Continuing to drive the house on wheels, Alex also chuckled along with the others.

Opening the window to smoke, Alex clenched a cigarette with his teeth and began looking for a lighter. While Alex was looking for the lighter, a click sounded next to his face, and he saw a black lighter held by pale hands. Lighting up, Alex looked at Wednesday, who calmly put the lighter back in her pocket.

"Merci, ma chère. You should continue resting," Alex said with a smile, exhaling cigarette smoke out the window.

"I've already rested enough, Chéri. I'd rather spend this time more productively," Wednesday said, taking an old diary out of her bag.

"What kind of diary is that?" Alex asked, looking at Wednesday.

"Thing found this diary in Wernicke's safe. It contains all his notes on brainwashing. It might come in handy in the future," Wednesday said, pointing her finger at Thing, who was hiding in the bag.

"When you finish, let me read it later. Red and White will most likely also be interested in such research," Alex said in a thoughtful tone, looking at Thing, who was sticking out of Wednesday's bag and giving a thumbs up.

Wednesday didn't answer and only nodded, showing that when she finished reading Wernicke's diary, she would give it to him. Alex smiled and stretched out his hand, poking Wednesday's cheek with his finger. Feeling the poke in her cheek, Wednesday didn't react at all and only turned the page of the diary, continuing to read. Seeing that his actions caused no reaction from Wednesday, Alex chuckled slightly and continued driving the house on wheels.

The trip to Portland passed in a calm atmosphere, and after the conversations everyone got tired, and all they thought about was getting home. And fortunately for Samantha's friends, they had bought return tickets home in advance, so they weren't worried about having to stay in Portland.

Approaching Portland, Alex switched places with Josh, since it was he who had rented the house on wheels. After switching places with Josh, Alex stretched a little and was going to change into cleaner clothes so as not to arouse suspicion, even if he was going to teleport to the bunker.

Josh immediately headed toward the airport to drop everyone off, since they all had plane tickets. Stopping in the parking lot, Samantha began saying goodbye to her friends, promising to meet again. After a long farewell, Alex, Samantha, Wednesday, Seras, Dean, and Sam remained in the parking lot, watching Samantha's friends walk toward the terminal. Lighting a cigarette, Alex sighed heavily, rubbing his face. At that moment he really wanted to rest and do nothing.

"Stop sighing, let's send us home. I need a shower and a beer," Dean said, slapping Alex on the shoulder.

"Okay, okay. Hold on to your panties. It's not going to be the most pleasant trip," Alex said in a tired tone, exhaling cigarette smoke.

"What do you mean?" Sam asked, staring at Alex as if something bad was about to happen.

In response, Alex just smiled widely, and the shadow under his feet began to expand. Dean and Sam lowered their gazes down, seeing what was happening. And before they could understand what the hell was going on, long pale hands emerged from the shadow. Dean and Sam's eyes widened at what they saw.

And when these hands touched their bodies, Dean and Sam shuddered from the cold touch. The last thing they managed to see was Alex and the girls being dragged into the shadow. As they were being dragged into the shadow, it seemed to Dean and Sam that they were sinking into a murky cold swamp, through which cold hands were dragging them.

And the most unpleasant experience in such travel for them was that a strange distant whisper reached their ears, which they could not understand. Before Dean and Sam could fully realize what was happening, they were already lying on the floor in the bunker, looking at the ceiling. Lying on the floor, Dean and Sam blinked, not understanding what had just happened.

"Congratulations on your first journey through the world of shadows," Alex said, extending his hand to Dean to help him up.

"What the hell was that?" Dean asked, grabbing Alex's hand and feeling dizzy from this method of travel.

"I told you, travel through the world of shadows. Or are your ears blocked?" Alex said, helping Sam get up from the floor.

"I understood it the first time. Couldn't you have done your usual teleportation tricks?" Dean said, rolling his eyes at Alex.

"That was revenge, asshole," Alex said with a wide smile on his face, cheerfully shaking his head from side to side while looking at Dean.

"Bitch…" Dean clicked his tongue, understanding what kind of revenge Alex was talking about.

While Alex and Dean were arguing, Sam looked at this with a heavy sigh and went to his room to take a shower. He wanted to wash off all the dirt and blood and throw his things in the laundry. The girls also weren't going to watch Alex and Dean's usual bickering and were going to show Seras the bunker.

Lucina, who had just woken up, came out at the noise. Rubbing her eyes, Lucina walked into the main hall. Lucina saw the familiar picture of Alex and Dean arguing. Yawning, Lucina ignored the two arguing men and shifted her gaze to Seras, who was looking at everything with interest.

Waving at Seras with a smile on her face, Lucina decided she needed coffee to wake up. Continuing to argue, Alex and Dean went to their rooms, pushing each other along the way. Lucina, Samantha, and Wednesday calmly ignored Alex and Dean's usual bickering as they left. Only Seras watched this with interest, seeing such behavior from Alex for the first time.

"Does this happen often?" Seras asked, pointing at Alex and Dean, who were behaving like teenagers.

"More often than you can imagine, Seras… And if you don't mind, I'll change first, and then I'll show you everything here," Samantha said with a smile on her face, standing next to Seras.

"You don't have to rush. And where are those three babies I've heard so much about? I want to hug them," Seras said with a smile, looking around in search of GIR, MIMI, and Stitch.

"They're somewhere in the desert right now, watching Crowley so he doesn't run away," Lucina said, lazily yawning, looking like a sleepy cat.

Hearing this, Seras got upset, because she really wanted to see these three crazy babies and spoil them a little and hug them. After all, Enid and Alice had sent her dozens of photos and videos of this trio. Lucina chuckled slightly and suggested that Seras have coffee together while the others changed and took showers. Seras immediately cheered up and followed Lucina to the kitchen.

After all, Seras wanted to see everything that was in the bunker. Because for her this place was something she had only seen in movies that she had watched alone in the past because of her life. Meanwhile, Alex was already in the shower, trying to wash off the dried blood and dirt. After a long shower lasting an hour, Alex was able to wash all the blood off himself without using magic. Drying his hair with a towel, Alex came out of the shower and fell face-first onto the bed.

"They still haven't bought me ice cream… Deception everywhere," Alex muttered, lying face down on the bed.

Lying there for a few minutes, Alex sighed heavily and got up from the bed. Alex didn't feel physical fatigue; he was just too lazy to move, and the desire to eat strawberry ice cream only fueled his desire to continue being lazy. Coming out of the room, Alex continued to dry his wet hair. Walking down the corridor, Alex met Dean, who had also just come out of the shower.

Exchanging glances, Alex and Dean hummed at each other with smiles, heading toward the kitchen. Alex was going for ice cream, and Dean was going for beer. Entering the kitchen, Alex looked into the freezer, knowing that there should definitely be a tub of strawberry ice cream there. But when he opened the refrigerator, Alex saw only mint and chocolate.

"Dean, tell me honestly. Did you eat my strawberry ice cream?" Alex asked, turning to Dean, who was putting a burger in the microwave.

"No, dude. You know I don't like strawberry ice cream. You most likely ate it yourself and didn't notice," Dean replied without turning his head, watching the burger heat up in the microwave.

"Life sucks. I brought that ice cream from Italy," Alex said wearily, closing the refrigerator.

"Well, that's your problem. No one stopped you from buying regular ice cream in regular stores. You decided to teleport halfway around the world just to buy ice cream. Now suffer because of it," Dean said, taking the burger out of the microwave.

"Fuck you!" Alex said, showing Dean the middle finger.

"Go yourself. And I'll probably eat the burger and drink a beer. I don't need to go anywhere for them. Ah, that smell of burger with smoked ribs. It's so tempting," Dean said with a smirk, demonstratively waving the plate in front of Alex's face.

Alex looked at the burger in front of his face, and at that moment the desire to knock the plate out of Dean's hands arose in his mind. As soon as Alex's hand twitched slightly, Dean instantly hid the plate behind himself. Alex's hand froze in the air where the plate with the burger had been a moment ago.

Alex and Dean looked at each other and blinked in surprise. Alex hadn't expected Dean to react with such great speed. Dean himself didn't understand what had just happened: he saw Alex's hand twitch, and he reacted by hiding the plate behind himself. After all, it all happened so fast that Dean didn't have time to fully realize it. Alex looked at Dean and lowered his hand, slightly squinting his eyes.

"Don't you dare touch my burger. If you want a burger — make your own burger," Dean said, squinting his eyes back at Alex.

"Your reaction has become faster, Dean. Much faster," Alex said, smiling as he looked at Dean.

"Ew, that sounds creepy, don't say that… And I myself don't understand what happened. And if I don't understand something… Then I need to drink a beer," Dean said, rolling his eyes as he left the kitchen.

Alex looked at Dean, who had left the kitchen. Alex was curious whether Dean had noticed how much stronger he had actually become. And at the same time, Alex was also curious how much stronger Dean had become compared to before. After all, since returning from London, he hadn't had the opportunity to test Dean's strength.

Thinking about this, Alex decided to make himself coffee first before going to the girls. While Alex was brewing coffee, Sam walked into the kitchen, holding a phone in his hands. Waving at Alex, Sam took a salad out of the refrigerator and sat down at the table. While brewing coffee for himself, Alex asked what Sam was reading. Hearing Alex's question, Sam turned the phone screen toward Alex.

"You're still looking for traces of Amara. Sam, for God's sake, rest. You ran around the psychiatric hospital all night. When Crowley and Cass return, we'll think about what to do," Alex said with a heavy sigh, looking at Sam tiredly.

"Okay. It's just that during this time we haven't seen any traces of Amara or traces of God. Maybe she hasn't healed yet after the angels hit her with their cannon," Sam said in a heavy tone, putting the phone on the table.

"Possibly, that's how it is. Amara hasn't restored all her powers yet after breaking free. And we destroyed most of the fragments of Darkness. Which slowed down her recovery," Alex said, taking a sip of coffee.

Sam nodded understandingly and got up from the table to pour himself coffee. After pouring himself coffee, Sam took a sip and sighed. Because of all this tension, it seemed to him that his head would soon burst. And all their attempts to find at least some weapon that could resist Amara had failed. Pinching the bridge of his nose, Sam still decided to take a break, feeling a headache from constant thinking.

Alex patted Sam on the shoulder, perfectly understanding his feelings, and took painkillers out of the drawer. After taking a headache pill and washing it down with coffee, Sam returned to the table to finish his breakfast and go rest. While Sam finished his breakfast of salad and coffee, Alex decided to keep him company and talk a little.

"Oh, right. I kept forgetting to ask. What about Volrider? How did you deal with him?" Alex asked, slapping himself on the forehead, having forgotten about something important.

"Didn't Dean tell you?" Sam asked, raising a surprised look at Alex.

"No… We argued a bit, but not a word about this swarm of nanites," Alex said, shaking his head, making it clear that this topic of conversation hadn't been mentioned.

"I don't know if this is normal. After all, everything I know about nanites is what I saw in movies…" Sam began, taking a sip of coffee and looking at Alex.

"I'm all anticipation. And if you're interested in nanites, I have documents with research on these things somewhere… But first, it's better to tell what happened," Alex said with interest, putting his coffee on the table and folding his hands under his chin.

"In general, I don't know if this is normal. But when Dean hit Volrider with the Blade of Cain… The blade, how to put it, absorbed this swarm of nanites," Sam said thoughtfully, recalling the details of what he had seen.

"Are you sure?" Alex asked again, raising an eyebrow at what he heard.

"Yes, I'm sure. It's hard not to notice something like that… Maybe you have assumptions why this happened. And why exactly the Blade of Cain was able to wound what is essentially a product of technology, and not something supernatural," Sam nodded, looking at Alex and interested in his opinion.

Alex thoughtfully stroked his chin, pondering Sam's words. It also seemed strange to Alex that the Blade of Cain had absorbed the swarm of nanites that Volrider consisted of. And it was quite intriguing even for Alex. Continuing to stroke his chin, Alex considered options for why this had happened and what had caused it.

The first option that Alex voiced out loud was that the machine used to control Volrider had somehow used a fragment of Darkness. But Sam only shook his head, explaining that this was not the case.

Alex nodded, continuing to think. And the second option that Alex voiced was that the swarm of nanites had been created using the power of Darkness. Sam wanted to refute Alex's words, but immediately fell silent, thinking about this option.

"This is quite possible. In the current time, it is basically impossible to create something like a swarm of nanites. And Volrider was created during World War II, which already says a lot, and in those years it was even more impossible. Unless…" Sam began, looking thoughtfully at Alex.

"Don't forget, Germany had Thule, Millennium, and other groups engaged in occultism and such at that time," Alex said, tapping his finger on the table.

"Hmm… We'll need to read Wernicke's diary after Wednesday finishes it. I think he was somehow connected either with Millennium or with Thule," Sam said in agreement, nodding at Alex's words.

"Get in line. I'm next. Or I can make a copy and send it to you," Alex said with a smirk, raising his finger.

"Yeah, thanks. And perhaps you should check the Blade of Cain, maybe you'll understand something. Dean doesn't care, but it's better to check everything just in case," Sam said in a dry tone, nodding his head toward the kitchen exit.

Alex calmly nodded, deciding to check the Blade of Cain, but later. After finishing his coffee, Alex wanted to see if Seras had finished inspecting the bunker. After finishing his coffee, Alex put the empty mug in the sink and left the kitchen. Walking down the corridor, Alex passed the recreation room and heard snoring from there.

Looking into the room, Alex saw Dean sleeping in his favorite recliner. Grinning, Alex closed the door and headed toward the library. Entering the main hall, Alex heard female voices engaged in a lively conversation. Walking a little further, Alex saw Seras talking with Lucina and Samantha, while Wednesday continued reading Wernicke's diary, and Thing, who was turning the pages instead of Wednesday.

But what Alex saw when he entered the library made his eyelid twitch. The box of strawberry ice cream he had been thinking about was standing next to Lucina. Lucina noticed Alex's gaze directed at the box of ice cream and only sent an air kiss in his direction. Rolling his eyes, Alex sat down next to Lucina, taking the spoon from her mouth and pulling the ice cream toward himself.

"So how do you like the bunker, Seras? Did you see anything interesting?" Alex asked, starting to eat the ice cream, ignoring Lucina's amused look and the kicks under the table.

"Well, I expected something like those secret hideouts from spy movies. And this place, how to put it… Looks more like a spacious home of a book lover than a bunker," Seras said thoughtfully, glancing around the library.

"You should have already understood that your expectations will not always match what you expect. That's reality. To avoid disappointment, just don't expect anything," Wednesday said in a cold tone, without raising her head and continuing to read the diary.

When Wednesday's words sounded, everyone turned their attention to her. Seras wasn't upset by Wednesday's words, as she had already spent enough time talking with her, having spent an entire night in her company.

Seras even thought that Wednesday was much better at communicating than Alucard. Lucina and Samantha smiled slightly. They had long been accustomed to such comments from Wednesday, and therefore it had become the norm for everyone.

"Thanks for such an appropriate comment, Chéri," Alex said, putting ice cream in his mouth.

"You're welcome if you want to be disappointed in life. I'm always happy to ruin someone's mood," Wednesday said, raising her gaze to Alex.

"It was a joke, my dear," Alex said, pointing the spoon toward Wednesday.

"I know. And if you're done joking, stop distracting me from reading," Wednesday said, looking at Alex with her usual gaze.

Alex looked at Wednesday, slightly squinting his eyes. Wednesday responded to Alex's gaze with her calm look and then lowered her eyes back to the diary, continuing to read. Shaking his head, Alex decided to ask how Seras had spent her time in London with Alice and Enid.

And as soon as Alex asked this question, Seras couldn't stop, telling what the three of them had done. Especially Seras couldn't miss the opportunity that Anya, Nyaruko, Jinx, and Tina had also arrived at Hellsing. Seras began telling what places she had visited with the girls in the company of their daughters and how they had spent their time. Alex and Lucina exchanged glances, listening to Seras's story, but they were surprised by how easily Integra had reined in the group of Gremlins.

After all, usually their daughters first behaved quietly and cutely in the company of their mothers. But even so, the little gremlins couldn't stay still for long without causing chaos. Alex wanted to find out what Doll, Maria, Enid, and Alice were doing now, but he understood that they would return soon, except for Maria, who preferred to stay in London.

To be continued...

(So, I'm wondering if we can start moving on to the final part of this arc now, or not. Hehehe. But I think we can move on to the end now. It seems like there's not much left, and I didn't plan to show anything else from the other horror plots. Which means we can continue with the supernatural. Yeah. Okay, I'll go get something to eat. Peace, love, and don't touch other people's ice cream.)
