Chapter 718 - 717: The Fake Lucifer Turned Out Not as Powerful as He Thought.

Chapter 718 - 717: The Fake Lucifer Turned Out Not as Powerful as He Thought.

Alex was in an old chapel that no one had visited in a long time. The reason he was in this place was to continue playing his role in the spectacle produced by Chuck. Alex knew what kind of ending Chuck was aiming for in his story, and therefore he intended to play along until the very end.It was according to this plan that Alex, Dean, and Sam had arrived at the old chapel to summon Lucifer, offering him a weapon that could kill Amara. For Crowley, who was also part of this plan, it had been said that Lucifer would be sent back to the Cage in exchange for the Horn of Joshua. But Crowley did not know that Lucifer had a completely different role in this entire plan.

Instead of sending Lucifer to the Cage, Alex, Dean, and Sam had come to an agreement to use him. If Lucifer could wound Amara using the power of the Hand of God, then it would give them a chance at a possible victory in the future. And if Lucifer could not wound Amara with the Hand of God, then they would throw him to Amara to be torn apart.

This plan had been discussed by Alex, Dean, and Sam not only yesterday but also today before arriving at the chapel, before everything began. And the entire plan could be ruined because no one had expected Lucifer to have an ace up his sleeve in the form of a spell that could bind Death herself and put her on a chain.

When Dean, Sam, and Crowley saw that Lucifer had put Alex on a chain, they realized that everything could end very badly. They began to get nervous because they knew that Death was not an opponent they could fight. Dean and Sam knew this especially well, perfectly understanding what Alex was capable of with the powers of Death.

But soon all their fears disappeared when they saw that the so-called magical chains that had bound Alex had disappeared from his hands. And after that, everything went in a completely opposite direction from the plan they had discussed the day before.

Alex simply began beating Lucifer with a simple reminder that he did not like it when someone tried to control him. Everyone inside the old chapel watched with different expressions as Alex beat Lucifer, not giving him even a chance to strike back.

Castiel carefully watched Alex's actions so that he wouldn't accidentally kill Lucifer and ruin his own plan. Dean and Sam were thinking the same thing — that Alex might go too far.

And unlike Castiel, they didn't have the strength to stop Alex if he started going overboard while beating Lucifer. The only ones who were enjoying Alex beating Lucifer were Crowley and Rowena, who had their own scores to settle with Lucifer.

However, Crowley was mentally glad that he had shown prudence and had not behaved with Alex the way he usually behaved with the Winchester brothers. The sight of Alex literally using Lucifer's face to test the strength of the walls in the old chapel made Crowley flinch with every blow, thinking that it could have been his face if he had behaved as arrogantly as Lucifer.

Only Rowena looked at Alex like a woman who had seen a truly strong man. Alex himself paid no attention to all these looks and continued beating Lucifer.

At the moment when Lucifer used the spell to restrain Death, all of Alex's patience ran out instantly. Gripping Lucifer's head tightly, Alex continued slamming his face into the wall. From such blows, Lucifer did not suffer much physically, but he still clearly felt how with every such blow his vessel continued to break down. Pulling Lucifer back, Alex sharply jerked his head forward.

Lucifer's head slammed into the chapel wall with a crash, punching straight through it. Lucifer got stuck with his head in the wall, and before he could free himself, Alex dug his fingers into the wall and jumped. Jumping up, Alex immediately landed with his knee on Lucifer's spine. Lucifer's vessel's spine cracked and bent, almost folding in half. Lucifer fell to his knees, slipping out of the hole in the wall where he had been stuck.

"Just as I said, you're nothing more than a punching bag," Alex said, kicking Lucifer in the back of the head.

After Alex's kick, Lucifer's face slammed into the wall again. Removing his foot, Alex sighed heavily and lit a cigarette, trying to suppress his irritation from everything that had happened. Exhaling cigarette smoke, Alex heard Lucifer start laughing. Alex's eyelid twitched, and he began kicking Lucifer in the back of the head again with the desire to punch through the wall with Lucifer's head.

Seeing that Alex was not going to stop after all this beating, Dean and Sam finally moved. Dean and Sam ran up to Alex and grabbed him under the arms to pull him away from Lucifer.

Even while being pulled away, Alex still resisted and managed to kick Lucifer in the back of the head a couple more times. And before Alex was finally pulled away, he managed to land one last kick right under Lucifer's ass, making him jump.

Seeing this, Dean could no longer hold back and snorted with laughter while pulling Alex away. Sam had never thought he would see Lucifer in such a ridiculous situation and pressed his lips together to hold back his laughter.

"Alright, that's enough for him… I can see in your eyes that you were ready to kill him. Remember the plan," Dean said, holding back laughter.

"I've calmed down… Yes, I'm calm. I need inner peace," Alex said, taking deep breaths.

"Yes, inner peace. As the wise turtle said, you should find inner peace," Dean said, holding back laughter as he listened to Alex's words.

Alex took another deep breath to calm down, trying to get rid of his irritation. Seeing that Alex was starting to calm down, Dean and Sam exchanged glances, still wondering why Alex hated Lucifer so much.

And seeing that Alex was beginning to calm down, Dean patted him on the shoulder, hinting that they shouldn't forget why they had come here. Dean and Sam continued to hold Alex until he calmed down, just in case. Crowley clicked his tongue because Dean and Sam had stopped Alex. After all, he wouldn't have minded continuing to enjoy watching Alex beat Lucifer.

While Alex was still restoring his inner peace, Lucifer, who had previously been stuck headfirst in the wall, slowly began to rise. Pulling his head out of the wall, Lucifer cracked his neck slightly and shook off dust and fragments of stone and wood from himself. Once again he had been beaten so badly that he couldn't even fight back.

Watching as Dean and Sam held Alex back, an arrogant smile appeared on Lucifer's face. And while everyone was focused on Alex, Lucifer shifted his gaze toward the Horn of Joshua and pulled the Horn to himself using his power. When the Horn of Joshua was in Lucifer's hands, he immediately hid it behind his back with a sly smile on his face.

"Oh, just look at him. The Winchesters said stand, and he stopped like an obedient dog. This Death and the previous one — both wipe the Winchesters' asses," Lucifer said in a cold tone, keeping his hands behind his back.

When Lucifer spoke, everyone froze in place and turned their heads in his direction. Rowena tactfully hid behind Crowley so that Lucifer wouldn't see her. Crowley swallowed, seeing that Lucifer hadn't suffered much after Alex's beating. But what he didn't know was that Alex had simply been holding back, trying to vent his irritation.

Dean and Sam looked at Lucifer, then turned their heads toward Alex and saw his eyelid starting to twitch. Alex closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Then he opened his eyes, and a gentle smile appeared on his face as he looked at Lucifer.

Alex's smile was so gentle that everyone shuddered at it. Seeing this smile, Castiel frowned and was ready to intervene. But he immediately stopped, sensing that someone had approached the chapel. Realizing who had arrived, Castiel understood that he wouldn't have to do anything and immediately relaxed.

"Fuck inner peace. I'm going to kill this feathered bitch. He really pisses me off!" Alex shouted, breaking free from Dean and Sam's grip.

Breaking free from Dean and Sam's hold, Alex was ready to send the plan to hell. His patience had run out, and Alex could no longer tolerate the presence of the fake Lucifer. Initially, Alex had thought he would have enough patience to tolerate the presence of the fake Lucifer. But Lucifer's very presence caused Alex such strong disgust and a desire to kill him that he could no longer resist this urge.

At that moment, Alex no longer cared that his carefully thought-out plan to play out Chuck's play would be ruined. He was ready to accept all the consequences and, if necessary, find another way to drag Chuck out of the hole where he was currently hiding while waiting for his grand finale that he had written for himself.

Alex began approaching Lucifer with heavy steps, clenching his fists and wanting to smash his face. Seeing that his provocation had worked, an even more arrogant smile appeared on Lucifer's face when he realized his plan had succeeded. When Alex got close, Lucifer pulled out the Horn of Joshua from behind his back and pointed it at Alex.

"Surprise. Didn't expect that," Lucifer said, aiming the Horn of Joshua at Alex.

"Do you think this will help you somehow?" Alex asked, stopping in place.

"Against you? Hmm… Yes, possibly. It will mess you up badly or even kill you. And even if I kill you, another will take your place. But what about Dean and Sam?" Lucifer said with an arrogant smile on his face, aiming the Horn of Joshua at Dean and Sam.

Lucifer aimed the Horn of Joshua at Dean and Sam with a wide smile, and they froze in place. Dean and Sam understood very well that if something imbued with Divine Power like this was used, it would definitely be the end for them. Alex narrowed his eyes, thinking about simply killing Lucifer, since for him it would take only a moment.

And as soon as Alex moved, Lucifer pulled his hand with a wide smile, making it clear that if Alex moved, Dean and Sam would cease to exist. Crowley was already thinking about running away with his tail between his legs, as he usually did.

But Lucifer didn't give Crowley a chance to teleport out of this place. Dean and Sam tensely stared at Lucifer, trying to find a way out of this situation, mentally cursing Lucifer.

"I wonder if you'll be able to bring the Winchesters back even if their souls cease to exist? Shall we test it?" Lucifer asked, looking at Alex with an amused smile on his face.

"Decided to use your last ace against Dean and Sam. Aren't you afraid that your aunt will smear you across the floor afterward?" Alex asked, taking a cigarette out of his pocket.

"It wasn't me who started all this. You tricked me. Deceived me. And we could have been on the same side and even become friends again, right, Sam? We were so close. What you did, Sam… Ah, it breaks my heart," Lucifer said in a hurt tone, lightly rubbing the Horn of Joshua with the cloth.

"Don't talk nonsense… We were never friends," Sam said through gritted teeth as old memories surfaced because of Lucifer's words.

"Hm… True. Oh well… Boys, it's fun playing with you, of course… But all relationships sooner or later… come to an end… And therefore…" Lucifer said, shrugging carelessly as he looked alternately at Dean and Sam.

Hearing Lucifer's words, Dean and Sam tensed up even more and were ready to attack Lucifer if necessary. Alex put his hand behind his back, giving Dean and Sam a signal to do nothing for now. Alex knew that Lucifer wasn't stupid enough to use the Hand of God against Dean and Sam.

And all Lucifer was doing right now was trying to intimidate everyone and find a chance for his escape. Seeing Alex's hand gesture, Dean put his hand behind his back and grabbed the hilt of the Blade of Cain just in case. Sam also noticed this gesture and narrowed his eyes, likewise putting his hand behind his back and clenching it into a fist. Sam hadn't told anyone about this, but for some reason he could summon Michael's spear.

It had happened by accident, and he hadn't told anyone. But he suspected it was connected to the bracelet Alex had made for him when they were dealing with the cursed towns. Alex, meanwhile, stared intently at Lucifer. And a moment later, an amused smile appeared on Alex's face because Amara had stopped simply watching and decided to step onto the stage, as she should.

"Oh, it looks like you're having fun, nephew. Instead of cowardly hiding…" a cheerful female voice sounded from outside the chapel.

When Amara's voice rang out, it was followed by a crash as if something had exploded. At the same moment, the doors of the chapel were destroyed along with a section of the wall, and pieces of wood and stone flew in all directions, raising a cloud of dust. From the cloud of dust came the light sound of heels stepping on the wooden floor.

From these sounds, Lucifer gripped the Horn of Joshua tighter, starting to feel uneasy, and all his arrogance began to disappear. These sounds made not only Lucifer tense but also Dean and Sam, as they understood that this was Amara. Crowley immediately stepped back, pressing his back against the wall, while Rowena hid in the prayer booth so as not to catch Amara's eye.

Smoking a cigarette, Alex waved his hand, dispersing the cloud of dust. And when the cloud of dust disappeared, everyone saw Amara. Seeing Amara, Alex was surprised by her new look in which she had decided to appear.

Amara's light brown hair was tied in a high ponytail. She wore a black denim jacket in the style Dean usually wore. Under the jacket was a black T-shirt and black jeans. On her feet were high leather boots with low heels. In this outfit, Amara looked like a cool woman rather than an ancient goddess thirsting for revenge.

Looking at Amara in such clothes, Dean swallowed, thinking that the outfit really suited her. He clearly hadn't expected to see Amara dressed like that. And Dean really liked this look of Amara, to the point that he momentarily forgot the situation they were in. Sam, seeing the frozen expression on his brother's face, elbowed him to bring him to his senses.

Sam knew there was a connection between Dean and Amara. But Sam hadn't expected that this connection would affect Dean so much in a situation like this. Seeing Dean's reaction to her clothes, Amara smiled slightly and then shifted her gaze back to Lucifer. Amara looked at Lucifer and scanned him from head to toe.

"Oh, dear Lucifer… How you've changed… You've become even more pathetic than you were before," Amara said in a contemptuous tone, looking at Lucifer.

"You shouldn't have come. Then perhaps you would have been safe…" Lucifer said, looking at Amara with a frown.

"I was just curious what Dean and his friends were plotting. And I followed one little red mouse. And in the end, I met my pathetic nephew," Amara said, tilting her head slightly to look toward the prayer booth where Rowena was hiding.

Rowena, hiding in the prayer booth, felt her heart clench upon hearing Amara's words. At that moment, Rowena understood why Amara had asked only one question about what Alex, Dean, and the others were planning. The realization that she had miscalculated made Rowena understand how badly she had screwed up.

After all, she had considered Amara an inexperienced goddess who still knew nothing about the world and interactions between people. And therefore Rowena had thought she could manipulate Amara by pretending to be on her side, as she had always done. While Rowena was shaking with fear and nervousness, everyone turned their heads toward the prayer booth where she was hiding.

Lucifer irritably pressed his lips together, thinking that from the very beginning he should have destroyed Rowena's body instead of just breaking her neck. Dean and Sam understood why Alex had said that Amara would come anyway and that it would be connected with Dean himself and Rowena. Amara watched all this with a carefree expression, keeping her hands in the pockets of her jacket just like Alex, as if none of this situation concerned them at all.

"You'll regret coming out. This time there will be no Cage," Lucifer said, raising the Horn of Joshua and aiming it at Amara.

"Oh, really? Then make me regret it. I'm actually curious how this little thing in your hands will help you," Amara said, taking one hand out of her jacket pocket and pointing her finger at the Horn of Joshua in Lucifer's hands.

The Horn of Joshua began to glow in Lucifer's hand, and the energy hidden in the object began to flow into Lucifer's body. Amara calmly watched all this, not interfering with Lucifer. She only raised an eyebrow, feeling a very familiar power inside this object, as if it belonged to her. And when this thought flashed through Amara's mind, she momentarily shifted her gaze to Alex, who was standing aside.

Alex's and Amara's gazes met. And Alex nodded his head, confirming to Amara that the Horn of Joshua contained exactly her power. Seeing Alex's confirmation, Amara once again mentally cursed Chuck for once again using her own power against her.

And observing this power, a question flashed through Amara's mind: could she absorb this power since it belonged to her? And at the same moment, Alex's voice sounded in her head, confirming that she could absorb her own power and take it back. In a short moment, Lucifer absorbed all the power hidden inside the Horn of Joshua and was ready to use this power against Amara.

Lucifer slowly raised his hand, and his body began to glow brightly due to the large amount of energy inside his body. At that moment, Lucifer felt like the most powerful being in the entire universe and capable of doing what he couldn't before. Including killing Amara with this newly acquired power.

A satisfied smile appeared on Lucifer's face, and at the same moment a very bright beam of light shot from his hand, causing everyone to squint and cover their eyes. Seeing this, Amara simply raised her hand, holding it out in front of her. The bright beam of light, containing colossal energy, struck Amara's palm.

Because of the bright light, it was impossible to see what was happening to Amara and whether Lucifer had managed to wound her. When the bright light disappeared, everyone opened their eyes. They saw Amara standing with her hand raised and a lazy expression on her face. At the same moment, shock appeared on Dean's and Sam's faces. But at the same time, Dean felt relief that Amara had not been hurt. Continuing to play her role, Amara lightly shook her palm as if brushing dust off it.

"Hmm… That was quite… entertaining. I would say. Any more tricks up your sleeve, nephew?" Amara asked with a carefree expression, blowing dust off her nails and looking at Lucifer.

Lucifer staggered back, staring at Amara. He couldn't believe that God's power had done her no harm. And what he hadn't expected was that Amara was so strong. After all, he remembered how in the past, billions of years ago, he, God, and the others had locked Amara in the Cage without much trouble.

But he simply didn't know that the power he had used against Amara belonged to Amara herself, and she had simply taken it back. The Horn of Joshua, which Lucifer held in his hands, having lost all the power that was in it, immediately turned to ash. Only after the Horn turned to ash did Lucifer come to his senses. Thinking about escaping, Lucifer took a step back, intending to teleport.

And as soon as Lucifer took a step back, a snap of fingers sounded, and he immediately slammed face-first into the floor, feeling an enormous force pressing him to the ground. Lucifer was pressed against the floor of the chapel with such force that he could barely lift his head. With difficulty raising his head, Lucifer saw a pair of leather boots right in front of his face.

"It looks like we're going to have a very long and pleasant conversation, my dear nephew. Don't you think?" Amara said, lifting Lucifer's chin with the toe of her boot.

"Want to take him?" Alex decided to speak, lighting a cigarette.

"Oh, it's you. Decided to attack me again? Or was my mercy last time not enough? And I should just kill you?" Amara said, playing along with Alex so as not to arouse suspicion.

"Not this time. Now my hands are literally tied against you… So no fourth round," Alex said, raising his hands, around which white threads appeared.

"Hmm… So I won't have to kill Dean's dear friend. That's even better… Don't you think, Dean?" Amara said, nodding slightly and shifting her gaze to Dean.

"Amara…" Dean said, feeling that he should approach but at the same time resisting.

"It's not time yet, Dean… And you know it," Amara said, lifting Lucifer by the collar.

Dean froze in place, not knowing what he needed to say or what he should do in this situation. Amara just sighed and looked at Dean one last time before disappearing, holding Lucifer in her hands.

When Amara disappeared, everyone felt relief, as if they could live one more extra day. Only Dean stood frozen, staring at the spot where Amara had been. Alex walked over to Dean and placed a hand on his shoulder. Feeling the hand on his shoulder, Dean came to his senses and looked at Alex.

"You okay?" Alex asked, looking into Dean's eyes.

"Yeah. I think so. Looks like your plan worked as intended," Dean said with a heavy sigh.

"What plan? What did you idiots keep quiet about?" Crowley interjected, having heard Alex and Dean's conversation.

"Handing Lucifer over to Amara. You wanted Lucifer gone. Rejoice, Crowley. The throne in Hell is free again. And you won't have to freeload off us anymore," Sam said in a tired tone, sitting on a wooden bench and holding his head while looking at Crowley.

Crowley opened his mouth to say something in response to Sam's words. But he immediately closed it, tilting his head thoughtfully. After thinking about Sam's words, Crowley realized that this option would work too. The throne was free, and Lucifer had ended up in the hands of someone he definitely wouldn't escape from. Crowley considered this development dozens of times better than simply sending Lucifer to the Cage, from which he could escape again.

Only Rowena sighed heavily, understanding that she was finished. Even if Lucifer didn't kill her, Amara — whom she had deceived — would. Starting to think about how to save her life, Rowena looked at Alex and Dean, thinking that she could do the same as Crowley and hide under the protection of Alex and the Winchesters.

Alex, meanwhile, was mentally communicating with Amara, telling her that she had played her role perfectly and that he would drop by later to talk. At the same time, everyone was processing what had happened, thinking about what to do next. Sam sat tiredly on the bench, holding his head and trying to find at least some solution.

"Alright, we screwed up again. Amara didn't give a damn about God's power. Lucifer was even less useful, just his arrogant speeches. So what do we do next?" Crowley said, clapping his hands to attract attention.

"What do we do next? Crowley, are you serious right now? Shouldn't you be running off to seize the empty throne in Hell? Instead of trying to play on the team?" Sam said irritably, having recovered from what had happened.

"Oh, sorry for hurting your damn feelings. But don't you think you should use that damn head of yours, moose! Even a damn archangel with the power of God couldn't do anything to Amara," Crowley snapped back at Sam.

"But what if this thing was supposed to be used by God's chosen one? Then the fallen Archangel isn't the best candidate for that role," Dean spoke up, turning toward Sam and Crowley.

"Dean, I don't want to say this. But without the Horn, we won't be able to test that," Castiel spoke, walking closer to Dean and Sam.

"So we start all over again," Alex said, nodding and tossing aside his extinguished cigarette.

"Of course. Now I'll reach into my damn magic pocket and pull out another item touched by God. Just to test another one of your crazy theories. My pockets are stuffed with this junk and I just don't know what to do with it," Crowley said with undisguised sarcasm, turning out his empty pockets.

Everyone looked at Crowley with a clear desire to hit him in the face. Even Rowena expressed her disgust toward Crowley, not sparing several caustic comments. Alex and Castiel exchanged glances, communicating mentally with each other.

Alex was curious whether his brother had noticed anything at that moment. Castiel replied that he hadn't noticed anything, which meant everything was going according to the script Chuck had written, with minor deviations. Nodding to each other, Alex and Castiel stopped talking so as not to arouse suspicion at such a moment.

"Cas, maybe you know of any other items touched by God that still haven't been found?" Sam asked, looking at Castiel.

"I can't say for sure, Sam. Even the items stored in the Vatican were used. The last thing the Vatican possessed was the Nail of Helena, and it was used in London," Castiel said, turning his head toward Alex for confirmation.

"Yes. Enrico Maxwell was going to use that nail to kill Carmilla. But as you remember, a completely different situation occurred there," Alex said, reminding them of the events in London.

"The Vatican is out too… Listen, Alex, if you can't ask the Reapers to search, can you ask your aristocrat wife to help with the search?" Sam said, looking thoughtfully at Alex.

"I don't think there's anything in Britain. I'll need to ask Integra," Alex said, stroking his chin.

"Maybe those British nerds you killed had something. A map, notes, anything at all," Dean said, offering another option.

Alex just nodded, making it clear that he would ask Integra. But he also showed that he wasn't promising anything. Dean and Sam nodded understandingly, realizing that even if the chance was small, it was worth checking.

After finishing the discussion of current plans, Alex, Dean, Sam, and Castiel were ready to return to the bunker. And just as they were about to leave, Crowley and Rowena decided to join. Crowley wasn't in a hurry to reclaim the Hell Throne yet and wanted to prepare before doing so.

And Rowena definitely didn't want to wander outside, knowing she could die at any moment. Dean and Sam didn't care that Crowley wanted to continue freeloading off them, and now Rowena had decided to do the same. And before Rowena could start her usual tirade about being just a weak woman who needed protection, Alex, Dean, and Sam waved off all the nonsense she was about to start telling.

The only condition Dean and Sam set in this situation was that Rowena would receive protection in exchange for the Book of the Damned she had stolen. Rowena didn't want to part with the Book of the Damned. But for the sake of saving her own life, she agreed and handed the book over to Alex, who immediately hid it in his inventory. After finishing with all this, Alex, Dean, and Sam simply wanted to return to the bunker and rest before starting to make plans again.

To be continued...

(So, another story arc has come to an end. And we're gradually moving towards the true ending of this world. I'm not going to say what happens next, because that would be a huge spoiler. After all, as I said from the very beginning of this arc, I have grandiose plans for Dean. And that will be connected to the ending. So, no spoilers. And I ask you again, my dear friends, should we have a vote on the next world? Or should I stick to my original plan? And while you're thinking and reading this chapter, I'm going to go eat. Peace, love, and don't be shy, you're a cutie.)
