Chapter 28 Introduces Newton to Tesla
Chapter 28 Introduces Newton to Tesla
"Ding ding".
A notification sound suddenly rang in my mind.
Lu Feng brought up the system panel, where Tesla's icon was flashing. He opened the dedicated chat window, and only two words appeared on the screen: "Didi."
Lu Feng's lips twitched.
Newton used emojis 300 years ago, and Tesla used Didi (a ride-hailing app) over 100 years ago.
The system's built-in communication software has an assimilation function.
Zhou Mingyuan was still arguing with Zhao Pengfei about the background color of the recruitment poster.
Lu Feng stood up.
"Senior brother, I'm going to the restroom."
Reaching the end of the corridor, Lu Feng leaned against the wall, closed his eyes, and silently recited "enter the inner space" in his mind.
The scene before my eyes changed.
Floor-to-ceiling windows with a starry sky view, and a modern sofa.
The sight in the room made Lu Feng's eyelids twitch.
The huge blackboard was covered with writing.
Tesla wrote complex matrices and partial differential equations directly on the smooth wooden floor with chalk.
There was almost no place to put your feet on the floor of the entire room.
Tesla heard the noise and turned around.
He rolled up his shirt sleeves, held half a piece of chalk in his hand, and his eyes revealed extreme excitement.
"I've solved the topology you gave me!" Tesla strode over and pointed to a large array of formulas on the ground.
Lu Feng looked in the direction he was pointing.
A bunch of formulas involving divergence and tensor product are intertwined, with a complex magnetic field line distribution diagram drawn next to them.
Lu Feng stared for ten seconds, then felt a throbbing pain in his temples.
In his previous life, he worked in the mechanical field for over a decade, and mechanics, materials, and transmission were his absolute strengths.
However, electromagnetism, especially higher-order electrodynamics involving plasma and superconducting magnetic field confinement, was completely beyond his knowledge.
It seems that to solve the blueprint problem, one must thoroughly understand electrical engineering.
Lu Feng secretly made his own plans.
I must go to the library to borrow books.
Without thoroughly studying "Electrodynamics," "Plasma Physics," and "Fundamentals of Superconductivity," one cannot even understand the blueprints, let alone build a physical object.
"Sir, please explain the core idea," Lu Feng said.
Tesla tossed away the chalk and dusted off his hands.
"The key lies in the reconstruction of boundary conditions. I introduced a virtual potential field and used the Meissner effect to forcibly flatten the magnetic field lines. As long as a picosecond-level pulse voltage of a specific frequency is applied in this region, the plasma will be locked in the center, forming an absolutely parallel magnetic channel."
Lufeng has launched "Efficient Learning" and "Newtonian Observation".
Tesla speaks extremely fast.
Lu Feng's brain was working at high speed.
Ten minutes passed.
Lu Feng figured out the details.
The first part is based on the design of a strong magnetic field topology structure using superconducting coils, and the core logic has been fully established.
"A brilliant idea." Lu Feng nodded.
Tesla walked to the sofa, sat down, and took a sip of the cold coffee on the table.
Lu Feng suddenly had an idea: could he arrange a meeting between the two big shots?
He recalled the prompt on the system panel: When enough powerful players are summoned, group communication can take place.
He mentally called out to the system: "System, can you bring Tesla and Newton together?"
[Yes, the host can open the shared inner space, allowing summoned powerful figures to meet across spaces.]
Lu Feng looked at Tesla.
"Sir, let me introduce you to a friend."
Tesla put down his coffee cup and raised an eyebrow.
"Friends? I have a bad temper, and I'm not interested in talking to just anyone."
"His name is Isaac Newton," Lu Feng said, uttering a name.
Tesla's hand, holding the cup, froze in mid-air.
The coffee cup clinked crisply on the glass coffee table.
Tesla suddenly stood up, his eyes wide.
"Who are you talking about?"
"Sir Isaac Newton," Lu Feng repeated.
Tesla gasped.
For any physicist, the name Newton represents absolute authority.
He was the one who laid the foundation for the entire edifice of classical physics.
Although Tesla was arrogant and a leader in the field of alternating current, he was still a junior in front of Newton.
"He...he's here too?" Tesla's voice paused slightly, a rare occurrence.
"Yes." Lu Feng brought up the system panel and selected to enable shared space.
In the center of the modern room, the air suddenly rippled like water.
A white door of light appeared out of thin air.
Lu Feng was the first to step inside.
Tesla followed closely behind, but its pace seemed somewhat stiff.
Pass through the portal of light.
A pure white space comes into view.
Newton was sitting at that large experimental table.
He was holding a bright red apple in his hand, and had just taken a bite.
Hearing footsteps, Newton turned his head.
Upon seeing Lu Feng, he put down the apple and stood up.
"Lu Feng, you've arrived." Newton's gaze then fell on Tesla behind Lu Feng, a hint of curiosity in his eyes.
"Who is this?"
Lu Feng walked between the two.
"Sir, this is Mr. Nikola Tesla, who has made outstanding achievements in the fields of electromagnetism and alternating current." Lu Feng turned to Tesla.
"Sir, this is Sir Isaac Newton."
Tesla took a deep breath.
He straightened his suit collar and strode forward.
"Sir Newton, I am Nikola Tesla." Tesla extended his right hand.
Newton looked at the man in front of him, whose clothes and appearance were different from his own time, and reached out to shake his hand.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Tesla. Electromagnetism? That's a fascinating field that I haven't explored in depth."
Their hands were clasped tightly together.
Lu Feng stood to the side, watching this scene unfold.
My heart started racing without me even realizing it.
The person on the left used the three laws of motion and universal gravitation to write down the underlying framework of the universe's operation.
The person on the right illuminated the entire Earth's night with alternating current systems and countless inventions.
Two scientific giants, separated by centuries, completed a historic meeting within the space of the system.
"My place is rather simple," Newton said, pointing to the white void around him.
"It's very quiet, which is good for thinking."
"I have more stuff there, including a sofa and something called a television." Tesla released his grip, his tone returning to normal.
"If you're interested, you can come and take a look anytime."
"Come visit often," Newton nodded.
"Definitely," Tesla responded.
Newton turned and picked up a manuscript from the table.
"Mr. Tesla, you just mentioned electromagnetism. I have always been puzzled by the action at a distance of magnetism, but I lack an intuitive mechanical explanation."
Tesla immediately stepped forward.
"Jazz, magnetism is not an action at a distance. The field itself is a kind of material existence. You can think of it as the stress tensor of space itself."
The two giants completely ignored Lu Feng and engaged in a heated discussion around the experimental table.
Lu Feng did not interrupt.
He knew that his research team was only now beginning to take shape.
The pinnacle of mechanics and electromagnetism is in place.
As long as he can provide sufficiently advanced drawings and ideas.
Lu Feng quietly withdrew from the shared space.
Consciousness returns to reality.
The sunlight streaming through the window was perfect in the hallway leading to the restroom.
Lu Feng walked to the sink, turned on the tap, and washed his face with cold water.
The first part of the electromagnetic railgun blueprints has been deciphered.
Make up for the shortcomings in electrical engineering.
