Chapter 889: Foresight
Chapter 889: Foresight
Summer Monroe and Holly Holloway’s conversation was overheard by Willow Grant clearly.
"Quantum mechanics?" She scoffed dismissively.
They hadn’t even started learning quantum mechanics; no matter how difficult the comprehensive science test in the afternoon was, it couldn’t possibly include questions on that.
Summer had just guessed a few English question types correctly because of good luck, and now she was all puffed up, how ridiculous.
Who does she think she is?
A prophet?
Don’t kid yourself!
Willow Grant snorted coldly from her nose, deciding not to eat at the cafeteria and instead headed towards the school gate.
In the blink of an eye, it was afternoon.
Since the preparatory courses were specifically aimed at entering Britton University, the exam subjects didn’t include any specialized content, leaning more towards high school subjects.
However, the humanities comprehensive content became world history and world geography.
The science comprehensive content was only university physics and chemistry.
Therefore, the humanities and science comprehensive papers were combined into one, with a test duration of two hours.
Two hours wasn’t a short time, but given the difficulty and the slowness of the content, everyone felt rushed and hurried to read the questions as soon as they got the paper.
Willow Grant was particularly fast, flipping over the first page of humanities comprehensive questions and looking straight at the science comprehensive.
However, two seconds later, Willow Grant’s expression seemed to shatter.
The reason was simple: there were indeed two questions involving quantum mechanics content, and their combined value was as much as fifteen points!
Fifteen points...
Willow Grant’s hand holding the pen trembled violently.
She hadn’t learned quantum mechanics at all and hadn’t reviewed any related knowledge before the exam, which essentially meant she wouldn’t be able to score a single point of those fifteen.
How could this be?
Why were there really questions on quantum mechanics?!
Could it be that Summer Monroe is truly a prophet, able to foresee the future?
Or... did she know the exam content in advance?
That must be it!
Willow was certain that Summer had certainly seen the exam paper beforehand.
She felt both angry and flustered; if she had been even a bit suspicious then and reviewed some quantum mechanics knowledge and formulas, would she now be able to earn those fifteen points?
Willow couldn’t help but glance in Holly Holloway’s direction, only to see Holly also flipping her paper, a delighted expression appearing on her face.
Why Holly was happy was self-evident.
Damn it!
Willow Grant clenched the pen tightly in her palm, almost breaking it.
"Willow Grant?"
Mio Osborne’s voice rang out.
Willow jumped, looking towards the podium.
Mio Osborne gave her a warning look and said, "Hurry up and start answering the questions."
Willow immediately sobered up, stopped thinking about quantum mechanics, flipped the paper back to the humanities comprehensive page, and started answering questions seriously.
Given Holly’s level, even if she had studied quantum mechanics knowledge in advance, she might not have been able to earn all fifteen points.
Rather than dwelling on those fifteen points, it was better to focus on the questions in front.
Willow finally began to calm down, immersing herself fully in the exam paper.
...
The sun set in the west, and the bell signaling the end of the exam rang.
Almost all the students hadn’t finished the paper when their answer sheets were taken away.
As soon as Mio Osborne left, the class erupted into a chorus of complaints and moans.
"I only finished half of the science paper! There’s no way it’s enough time!"
"Finishing half is the same as me finishing the whole thing because I couldn’t solve the last two big questions at all. Quantum mechanics... I’ve never even studied this!"
"That’s right, this exam was just too insane. I estimate I’ll get the lowest score in history this time."
"Who isn’t in the same boat?"
Willow Grant silently stood up, her eyes on Summer Monroe, raising her voice to speak coldly: "Summer Monroe, knowing the exam questions in advance must feel pretty good, huh?"
