Chapter 947: The Atmosphere at the Scene
Chapter 947: The Atmosphere at the Scene
After arriving in Yanjing, the families checked into a high-end apartment in the core area that Huang Xiaochuan had arranged in advance.
The environment here is serene, the facilities are top-notch, and more importantly, it is close to the venue where the opening ceremony was held. Huang Xiaochuan has also arranged shuttle buses, which will provide 24-hour service to the families during their stay in Beijing.
Jiang Yufei's room had a fantastic view; from the room, she could see several Olympic venues directly. With such a convenient location, she naturally wanted to take pictures, but this time she used a DSLR camera.
She photographed everything, from the interior of her room to the cityscape outside her window.
On the evening of the day the opening ceremony officially began, the families had dinner in advance and took a special car to the National Stadium. For safety reasons, the route was strictly controlled.
However, their vehicle arrived at the stadium without any hindrance, where the massive steel-framed building came into view.
Although Jiang Yufei was mentally prepared, she was still taken aback by the surging crowd. Despite the large number of people, under the guidance of the staff, everyone entered the stadium in an orderly manner according to the entrances indicated on their tickets.
After entering the stadium and finding a seat, Jiang Yufei looked around. Every stand was packed with spectators. Jiang Yufei was so excited that she felt a little dizzy.
The only regret is that we couldn't take photos, so I didn't bring my DSLR. I could only sneak a few pictures with my phone, and the quality wasn't as good as with the DSLR, but it was better than nothing.
At 8 p.m., the opening ceremony started on time, and the lights suddenly went out.
More than two thousand musicians appeared in the center of the venue, and it began!
After the shock subsided, Jiang Yufei followed her family back to their apartment via the same route they had taken, and it was already late at night.
After taking a shower and changing her clothes, Jiang Yufei couldn't wait to turn on her laptop and connect to the internet.
The other three people in the group were all there, waiting for Jiang Yufei to come online.
"My goodness! Feifei, you've finally appeared! I searched for you on TV for ages but couldn't find you. Why didn't they give you a close-up?" (Shen Yicai)
The shrewd and charming Liu Xiu: "Tell me quickly! What was it like on set?"
Jiang Yufei typed on the keyboard, first sending a tired emoji: "I just showered and changed clothes, I'm exhausted!"
She then started typing on the keyboard again: "But it was worth it even though I was tired. The scene was something that television couldn't compare to. The atmosphere and the sound waves on site were just too shocking. When I saw the scene with the scroll, I got goosebumps."
The scene of the rocket being lit in the air was particularly exciting, and the whole audience went wild.
You know what? My seat was amazing, you could say the best view. There were quite a few foreigners sitting in front of me, and they were constantly exclaiming in amazement.
Jiang Yufei described the atmosphere she felt at the scene to her roommates in great detail, and her words inadvertently revealed a hint of superiority.
Because her three roommates could only watch the opening ceremony on TV, while she was sitting in the best seats at the venue.
Liu Xiu, a master of social maneuvering: "I can't take it anymore, I can't listen to this anymore."
"Hurry up and tell me, did you see any celebrities or anything? Celebrities are fine too!" (Shen Yicai)
Zhu Yanyurun (Zhu Yuanyuan): "Stop talking! Where are the photos? Hurry up and upload them."
Jiang Yufei had already prepared the photos. She sent several photos of the grand scene inside the venue to the group, as well as many photos of the venue's night view and the bustling crowds taken outside.
The photos inside the venue were all taken from where Jiang Yufei was sitting. Although they were taken with a mobile phone at night and the resolution is low, you can still tell at a glance how good the view was from where Jiang Yufei was sitting.
The group chat exploded again.
"This location! This view! Feifei, I believe you this time. The richest man in Asia is indeed related to your family, and they are very close relatives. Otherwise, how could you have gone to the opening ceremony and had such a good seat?"
Liu Xiu, a master of social maneuvering: "I agree!"
Zhu Yan Yu Run (Zhu Yuanyuan): I worship the meme "Little rich lady, do you need a personal accessory? The kind that went to college."
Seeing the envy, amazement, and exaggerated flattery from her roommates, Jiang Yufei's vanity was greatly satisfied.
Jiang Yufei changed the subject: "The place I'm staying now is also fantastic. It's not just any ordinary hotel; it's a high-end apartment with excellent privacy and super tight security. We even have a private car to pick us up when we go out. We've already planned to do some sightseeing tomorrow, take a stroll around the Forbidden City, and then have some Peking duck. We're already here anyway."
Then she typed on the keyboard: "I'm tired, going to sleep. I have to get up early tomorrow. I'll organize the photos and post them on my social media. You can look at them yourselves later."
She then decisively left the chat, completely ignoring her roommates' attempts to persuade her to stay.
She uploaded the selected photos, including the exterior of the stadium, the environment of her apartment, and some landmark buildings in Yanjing, to her online space.
The post also included the caption: "A night of witnessing history, unforgettable for a lifetime."
The next day, around noon, Wu Duo was talking with Lao Huang's family in a restaurant converted from a courtyard house in Yanjing.
He knew that his classmate and friend's parents and family members had come to Yanjing to watch the opening ceremony, because he was the one who arranged the permits that allowed those cars to pass through without any obstruction, so he naturally knew the Huang family's itinerary very well.
However, he was extremely busy with official duties, and with the Olympics taking place, he couldn't stay to accompany his old classmate's family even though he was the one treating them today. So he could only apologize to his old classmate's family.
"Uncle and Aunt! I'm so sorry, I've been so busy lately that I probably won't be able to have lunch with you. But I've already made arrangements. The environment and dishes here are very characteristic of Beijing, so please enjoy your meal here. In the afternoon, we'll go to the Forbidden City. I've already arranged the tickets for you."
Old Huang knew Wu Duo's identity before he came, so of course he didn't mind. Wu Duo had been very hospitable, and he had helped with many things. Otherwise, how could his family have come to Yanjing to watch the opening ceremony so smoothly?
Old Huang exchanged pleasantries with Wu Duo: "Thank you so much already. Look how much trouble you've gone through for our sake!"
Wu Duo waved his hand and laughed, "Uncle, you're being too polite with me. You know what kind of relationship Xiao Chuan and I have. We're family. Don't be so formal with me. I already feel bad that I can't have dinner with you. I'll call Xiao Chuan later and explain."
Wu Duo chatted with the Huang family for about ten minutes before leaving. He said that he would visit the Huang family when he had time. Old Huang, Zeng Lijuan, and Huang Erhe escorted Wu Duo to the door.
Apart from the Huang family members, the other families were unaware of Wu Duo's identity. When they learned of it, they were all incredibly surprised.
