Did Ms. Flynn really find her a separate agent?

Bella was surprised for a moment before nodding, "Okay, I’ll take a cab there in a bit."

"Alright, make sure to get there promptly. After you’re done, I’ll arrange a car to take you back to the ’Brocade River and Mountain’ set."

"Okay. Goodbye, Ms. Flynn."

Hanging up the phone, Bella turned to Damian, "I need to make a trip to Ms. Flynn’s studio. Are you going to the company, or are you going home to rest?"

He wasn’t feverish anymore, and based on his usual work habits, he would most likely head to the company to handle things.

Bella asked this question because she was familiar with his habits.

"To the company." Damian stood up, "Come on, I’ll take you to the studio first."

"No need, I’ll just take a cab myself," Bella said. "Ms. Flynn wants me to meet with an agent. After that, I’ll head straight back to the set."

"Suit yourself," Damian said indifferently. "Either I drive you there, or I follow the cab you’re in with my car—it’s your choice."

There’s hardly a need to choose.

Since whether or not he drove her, he’d be trailing behind in any case, it might as well save her the cab fare.

It would take at least thirty to forty bucks to cab it from the orphanage to Ms. Flynn’s studio. Being thrifty as she was, Bella preferred to save whenever possible.

Smirking, Bella lifted her chin, her eyes full of triumph, "Alright then, if you’re so insistent on driving me, I’ll let you have your way. Go wait for me in the car. I’ll just tell Aunt Sienna."

"Why do you seem so much like someone gloating over a petty victory?" Damian shot her a glance.

Bella made a face at him and turned to the dining hall to find Aunt Sienna.

Ethan and the other kids hadn’t finished their puddings yet. Holding tiny spoons, they ate in small bites, savoring every bit.

With a smile, Bella reached forward to ruffle Ethan’s forehead and then said, "Aunt Sienna, I have some matters to attend to, so I have to leave now."

"So soon?"

Understanding her busy work schedule and knowing she had to leave today didn’t make it any easier for either Aunt Sienna or the kids when the actual moment came.

"Bella, can’t you leave a little later?" Ethan asked, raising his head.

Bella shook her head, her voice soft, "Once Bella finishes with her current busy period, she’ll have lots of free time to spend with you all. Plus, when she gets paid, she can bring back more puddings, so each of you can have two at once, okay?"

"Okay." All five kids nodded.

Bella smiled, her heart a bit heavy with reluctance.

Though she said so, she understood that the next time she came back, only Ethan would remain; the other four would have new families and likely no further connection with her.

This thought made her heart ache.

She went over and hugged each of the five children and said gently, "You all should be good from now on. Listen well, don’t be naughty, study hard and be polite, okay?"

"Okay." The five kids nodded again.

She kissed them briefly, resistant to saying more for fear of being unable to hold back tears.

"Alright then, Bella will leave first. Goodbye." Bella stood up, pressed her lips together, and waved at them.

The children put down their spoons and sensibly waved back to say goodbye.

Bella took five hundred yuan from her pocket and handed it to Aunt Sienna, saying, "Aunt Sienna, keep this money, and call me when it’s gone. I’ll bring more."
