Chapter 420 - 419: He Rarely Speaks Words of Love

Chapter 420 - 419: He Rarely Speaks Words of Love

Damian Sinclair’s life proceeded almost predictably, without any surprises.

Except for Bella Acker, an unexpected surprise even to himself.

A mysterious compassion, an inexplicable heart-stirring, an unexplainable deep fascination, unexpectedly moved emotions; it seemed all his surprises were related to her, both good and bad, and he savored them all.

Until now, that special place in his heart, apart from her, nobody else could take.

The two embraced and kissed, holding each other tightly, feeling a warmth and tranquility in their hearts.

After the kiss, besides the peace they felt, there was surprisingly no other desire.

Holding each other, neither wanted to break the warmth of the moment, until the phone vibrated.

"Damian, your phone." Bella Acker stood up from his embrace, giving him space to answer it.

Damian Sinclair took out his phone and glanced at the caller ID, it was the Sinclair Family’s old house landline, "It’s a call from home." Saying this, he pressed the answer button.

Mrs. Sinclair’s elegant voice came from the other end of the line, "Damian, where are you now?"

"At the office." Damian Sinclair replied, "Mom, is something up?"

Mrs. Sinclair got straight to the point, "I heard from Uncle Langdon that you took your girlfriend to the party today?"

"Yes." Damian Sinclair did not hide it and admitted directly.

"I just heard from Uncle Langdon, I thought he was joking. I didn’t expect it to be true, that’s wonderful." Mrs. Sinclair’s tone noticeably lightened, "Damian, when are you bringing the girl home to visit us? There’s no better time than tomorrow. I’ll personally prepare the menu for tomorrow, make sure to bring her for lunch." After speaking, she hung up the phone without giving Damian a chance to refuse.

Damian Sinclair looked at the hung-up phone and sighed helplessly.

Bella Acker asked, "What happened?"

"Old Mr. Langdon told my mom about us, and my mom wants me to bring you to the old house for a meal tomorrow."

"Ah?" Bella Acker was surprised, "So soon? I haven’t even prepared myself."

Damian Sinclair put away his phone, "If you don’t want to go, we won’t."

"It’s not that I don’t want to go." Bella Acker blushed with embarrassment, she actually wanted to meet Damian’s family, but the unexpected call from Damian’s mom gave her no time to prepare, causing her a bit of nervousness.

Bella Acker hesitated for a moment, then nodded, "Damian, I’ll go tomorrow."

Seeing that she still seemed a bit flustered, Damian Sinclair pinched her cheek and said, "As long as I like you, they will too. With me here, you don’t need to worry."

"I just worry that I’m not good enough and won’t make Uncle and Aunt like me." Bella Acker bit her lip, "Damian, what do Uncle and Aunt like? What gifts should I prepare for them tomorrow? Help me figure something out."

"Don’t worry, just you being there will make them happy." Damian Sinclair sighed, "You don’t know, my mom is most worried that my personality will leave me alone forever, so she will definitely like you. After all, you saved her son."

"It’s not as tragic as you say." Bella Acker blushed, her heart feeling sweet, "There are many people who like you."

"Even if the whole world likes me, it wouldn’t matter if you didn’t." Damian Sinclair lowered his head, gently pecked the corner of her mouth, and whispered, "Because you’re the only one I see."

He didn’t often speak romantic words, so when he did, they seemed especially sweet and precious.
