While these events unfolded in the factory and Rey's house, where he was deeply asleep following intense head pain, another scene was taking place.
In an ordinary apartment, a man slept, his brow furrowed and a pained expression on his face.
Minutes later, he awoke abruptly, gasping for air as if from a terrifying nightmare.
He leapt out of bed, rushed to the bathroom mirror, and after washing his face, he saw his reflection. It was Evan, with eyes that bore the mark of sleeplessness and dark circles.
"Why is this happening to me, why God, why? It's been 15 days since I've been having the same dream. Maybe I should see a doctor for a cure.
But how will I pay the fee? I don't have it. The monthly money sent by the government is nearly finished, and it's about five days until more comes into my account, so I just have to endure it," he said, looking into the mirror. After a sigh, he reached his bed, quickly lay down, and fell asleep, only to start dreaming the bad dream again, but this time he didn't wake up until morning.
He woke up at 6:30 AM, completed all his household chores, locked his front door, and left for school. When he reached the school's main entrance, he found James waiting among a crowd of students for him and Rey.
He quickly joined James, and they started talking while waiting for Rey. But Rey didn't show up even after 10 minutes, so they assumed he had already gone in without them or was late. Therefore, they entered the school without him and headed to their classroom.
Meanwhile, in Rey's room, he was sleeping deeply, perhaps enjoying a pleasant dream, when suddenly he opened his eyes, looked around his room, and sighed deeply."
"Thank God it was just a dream," Rey said with a smile, yet he discovered he had strange memories of some people that he couldn't comprehend being in his mind.
"Boy, looks like you've woken from your slumber, but it seems you've already assimilated 10% of my memories from my past life on Earth," Aiden stated, materializing like a ghost before him.
"Huh, ahhhhhhh!" Rey exclaimed, tumbling off his bed with a loud thud upon seeing Aiden's ghostly appearance.
"Why the hell are you here now?" Rey demanded, scooting back while still seated on the floor.
"Didn't you grasp why I'm doing this? I believe I need to spell it out for you simply," Aiden retorted with a hint of irritation in his voice.
Time remaining of upgrade: 2 days 12-hour 30 minutes left.>
