"Huh, looks like our justice hero is on the ground, huh?" Vito remarked as he observed Rey's figure on the ground, taking shallow breaths as if he were about to lose consciousness.
He had thought that if the guy talked a big game, they might have some trouble beating him, but he was taken down as easily as if they were dealing with a school kid.
Seeing the build of the guy, he had assumed he would need to step into the battle to settle things, but it seemed it was just a case of a hard shell with a soft core.@@@@
"Hey kid, get up. I don't think you can go down so easily after giving us that speech about the poor and rich," Vito said as he tried to lift him, but Rey didn't move and lay there like a log.
"Hey, see if he's dead or something," Vito commanded, thinking the guy might be deceased.
One of the goons bent down in front of Rey, checked his breathing, and found him to be alive.
"Boss, he's fine, just unconscious," he reported, and Vito nodded, signaling him to back off.
"Well what can we do in this then. Let me call that bratty rich as* kid to let him come here as he told me to." Vito said and start calling the guy who hired him.
He waited for him but he didn't answer the call.
"What the fu*k he is doing right now. It's ruining my mood now." He said as he tried to call him again.
While Vito call here, we can see on the side that the guy he was calling to was sitting in a club VIP room parting with his friends.
Yes it was Jonny who hired Vito to get the work done.
The room was dim light and the song was on full with some of them dancing and some sitting on the sofa eating and drinking the snacks.
Jonny was sitting with a girl on his side and due to high music sound he wasn't able to hear the sound of call first time but when it comes second time, he noticed it and found Vito calling him.
"Oh look like they have already done the work." Jonny said as he picked up the phone.
He recognized the man as Rey, whom he had met before, and approached Vito, who had already spotted him.
"Oh brother, you finally made it, huh? Check on the guy's condition so we can get out of here before someone else shows up," Vito instructed, noticing his approach.
"Yes, Vito just let me feel the feeling on stepping on my enemy and don't worry the amount is already in your account. So, you can leave anytime." Jonny said as he starts walking toward the lying Rey.
"Well, you said that a men shouldn't argue with a kid right, now tell me you dumb sh*t, do you now understand the difference between us." Jonny said shouting at him.
Vito who saw this signaled his goons to go as he didn't want to mingle in this matter anymore.
"Well, brother, we'll head back first; enjoy yourself," Vito said as he began to walk away, but Jonny, absorbed in his own thoughts of revenge, did not respond.
However, before Vito and his henchmen could depart, a pained shout from Jonny halted them.
Turning around, Vito saw Jonny on the ground, his leg seized by Rey, whom they had assumed was unconscious.
Vito was astounded, having believed Rey was knocked out the entire time, or perhaps he had just awakened; but he was certain that after such a beating, no one could regain consciousness in less than three to four hours.
Before his eyes, Rey, who had been lying on the floor, stood up and first brushed off the dust from his clothes.
He also wiped his face with a handkerchief to remove the dust from the shoes that Jonny had put on his face.
"Well, the plan worked, and just as I predicted, the mouse is already in the trap, huh?" Rey said with a smile, looking at Jonny, who was becoming increasingly horrified as he had not anticipated being caught in his own trap.
However, Jonny was not overly nervous because Vito and his gang were there, and he believed they could help him deal with Rey.
"Hey Vito, help me beat this guy up," he shouted, retreating from Rey while still on the ground.
"Well, brother, I have to say this, and it may feel bad, but I can't..." Vito began, surprising Jonny, as well as Rey and Aiden.
