Huo Ji'an was startled, instinctively exclaiming and covering his mouth as he looked inside.
There stood Lu Qing, blood trickling down his forehead, the impact leaving a swelling bruise. His fragile frame appeared even more pitiful.
Hearing the sound, Lu Qing turned his head and caught sight of Zhouzhou.
He was momentarily taken aback, instinctively raising a hand to shield his wound, his slender figure contorting as he managed a strained smile. "Zhouzhou, why have you come?"
Zhouzhou, trembling, didn't hesitate. Without a word, she rushed over, arms outstretched.
Glaring at the figure on the bed, she bared her little teeth fiercely. "Why did you hit my fifth senior brother!"
She spoke each word deliberately.
Her chubby cheeks, soft and fair, radiated innocence, yet the fire in her eyes seemed capable of scorching through a soul.
Sun Mei, lying on the bed, felt a twinge of unease. Glancing at Zhouzhou's stubby legs, she sneered disdainfully. "He's my son. What's wrong with me hitting him a few times?"
She then turned to Lu Qing, her eyes dripping with disdain. "He's just a jinx. I've already done him a favor by letting him live this long. I'm his mother; even if I beat him to death, it's only natural!"
At these words, Zhouzhou's gaze darkened, her small body tensing with anger. She stared at Sun Mei, ready to strike.
No one could bully her Fifth Senior Brother!
But before she could act, Lu Qing restrained her. "Zhouzhou."
He held her petite body gently, his voice tender as he whispered, "Let it go."
Zhouzhou deflated suddenly, turning to look at him. Her eyes welled up instantly, and she reached out to touch his wound, afraid of causing him pain.
"Fifth Senior Brother, why would you let her keep doing this to you? She's bullying you like this!"
Zhouzhou was furious and anxious, tears swirling in her eyes. As she spoke, she took out some hemostatic pills from her pocket, crushed them, and sprinkled them on his wound. She leaned in gently, blowing on it.@@@@

Her breath carried a scent of milk, warming Lu Qing's heart a little.

"No!" Zhouzhou's voice was firm, and she glanced at Sun Mei's face, humming lightly. "Fortunately, she won't be human in her next life. She'll be a stinky bug."
"Is that so? Then she's quite lucky. I never thought that she would reincarnate and have a next life." Ye Lingfeng's words were infuriating, but he remained calm.
Zhouzhou's eyes darted around, and with a pinch of her chubby fingers, she chuckled, "It's okay, it won't be many lifetimes anyway."
Their synchronized words sounded like curses, infuriating Sun Mei to the point of blushing, wanting to glare at them fiercely.
However, upon seeing Qin Lie, she felt a sense of unease. The man who had just spoken, although handsome, exuded a dangerous aura all around him.

Lu Qing did, however. He gripped her hand, somewhat disapproving. Not because he was concerned about Sun Mei, but because he didn't want Zhouzhou to bear the karmic consequences.
Zhouzhou shook her head, unconcerned. Her chubby face buried in his embrace, she muttered, "No one can bully you."
