After rolling, it looked at Jinbao eagerly, as if saying, "Your turn, brother."
Jinbao stared at it like it was a fool, his earlier ambition evaporating, replaced by worry.
How could this naive bear possibly compete with the cunning wolf for the little girl's affection?
Just then, a wolf's howl sounded outside the door, and Laifu, with its fluffy tail wagging, ran over and leapt into Zhouzhou's arms.
When Laifu approached, Jinbao swiftly kicked it away, sending it rolling. Laifu quickly got up, ready to attack, baring its tiny teeth. Jinbao remained unafraid, confident it could handle the cub.
As the fight was about to erupt, Zhouzhou grabbed them both, sternly saying, "No fighting." Jinbao looked away with a huff, while Laifu bit Zhouzhou's clothes in grievance.
Sighing, Zhouzhou patted their heads, "No more fighting, okay? You are all my favorites."
Jinbao cast her a wistful glance. Did she not understand why they always fought? It was because of her.
She loved all of them equally, making it hard for her to choose. Being a recent kindergarten graduate, she wanted to keep them all.
Luckily, Jinbao did not know her thoughts, or it might have scratched her bald. Detecting its mood, Zhouzhou hugged him tightly, her little face pressed against its round head, finally calming it down.
Content, Zhouzhou sat on the ground with Xinbao leaning against her, occasionally nuzzling her back.
Jinbao, unwilling to be left out, jumped into her lap. With a bear on her left, a cat on her right, Little Goldie and Laifu lying beside her, life was perfect.
