Gu Shao suddenly realized something was off--did he just hear his little junior sister's voice?
He quickly looked around, but there was no one in sight. Feeling a bit disappointed, he lowered his head with a sigh.

Just then, a small head suddenly peeked out. "Second Senior Brother?!"
Zhouzhou's chubby little hands gripped the edge of the table in front of her, her short legs dangling in the air, eyes filled with excitement as she looked at Gu Shao.

Gu Shao was overjoyed, quickly rushing over from inside. He bent down to look at Zhouzhou, his heart bursting with happiness.
"Zhouzhou, what are you doing here?"
"Second Senior Brother, what are you doing here?" they exclaimed simultaneously.
Hearing this, Gu Shao chuckled first. "I'm here for work."
"I'm here for school," Zhouzhou replied.
At these words, Gu Shao's expression turned strange as he looked Zhouzhou up and down. She hadn't slimmed down; if anything, she had gained weight. Her hair had also grown out.
Apart from not getting any taller, everything else had changed. He looked at her with confusion, feeling that something wasn't quite right.
"Zhouzhou, Master has gone bankrupt. Where did he get the money to pay your tuition?"

Before he could say anything, Zhouzhou pushed a small bowl in front of him. "Second Senior Brother, have this. I saved it for you."
It was two big chicken legs. As she spoke, Zhouzhou's mouth watered.
Gu Shao was deeply moved. His junior sister loved to eat so much, yet she still gave him her food.
Wasn't this love? He patted Zhouzhou's small head, filled with joy. But he shook his head and said, "I won't eat. We have food; don't worry about me. You eat."
Zhouzhou was persistent and shook her head. "Second Senior Brother, eat." With a determined look on her face, she saw that Gu Shao couldn't refuse, so she gave it to him.
What a considerate little girl. Gu Shao took it and ate. And he had to admit, his junior sister's chicken legs were delicious.
After eating, he wiped his mouth and couldn't help but ask, "Zhouzhou, how did you come down from the mountain? When did you come down?"
"I've been down for over a year," Zhouzhou said. Then she recounted the whole story.
Gu Shao listened, furrowing his brows, chuckling at times, but his brows furrowed deeply at the end.
"Master is really excessive. We said we would work to support you, so why did he still kick you off the mountain? What if you had encountered bad people and been kidnapped?"
This Zhouzhou! She raised her chubby paws and replied eagerly, "I would sell the bad people to Second Uncle for money!"
Gu Shao was taken aback and, when he realized what she meant, burst out laughing. Forget it, he had overthought it.
