After Descending the Mountain, Seven Big Brothers Spoil Me

Chapter 935 I'm the Real Villain!

Chapter 935 I'm the Real Villain!

It was the Ancestral Master.@@@@

Zhouzhou's little face immediately fell, and she rubbed her ears, feeling on the verge of tears.

"I've just earned the reward!" she pouted.

"I don't care; I haven't received mine yet. Go get it, quickly!"

For some reason, there had been a delay in the merit payout the last two times. The Ancestral Master was beginning to suspect that maybe the heavens didn't want to reward them.

But that wasn't right!

They had worked so hard to earn this!

Well, mostly Zhouzhou did.

But Chubby Girl's efforts counted too, didn't they? She was just a child! How heartless could they be to delay even a kid's earnings?

As he mulled over this, a crackling sound suddenly filled the air. He looked up to see Heavenly Thunder rubbing its hands together, ready to strike.

The Ancestral Master jumped, immediately straightening up, and dared not entertain any stray thoughts.

Seeing his reaction, Heavenly Thunder let it go and floated back over Zhouzhou's head.

The Ancestral Master laughed, "See? If you don't work properly, you'll get struck by lightning."

Zhouzhou sighed; her life was so tough. Constantly watched by Mr. Thunder and pressured by the Ancestral Master, she had no time to play like a regular kid.

Thinking about it, she couldn't help but shed a few tears of pity for herself. Whose life could be harder than hers?

Surely, nobody's!

Right now, she turned her anger to all those big villains. She wanted to skin them herself, earn a bit more merit, and finally escape this life of poverty. That way, she could become a little rich girl and don't have to work this hard every day!

Just the thought of it made Zhouzhou's eyes light up.

Ye Lingfeng was taken aback. He didn't expect her to digest it so soon and even vowed to work harder.

What a silly little thing.

He looked at her, slightly exasperated, "Alright. Now hurry up and eat. We'll go visit later when you're on break."

"Okay." Zhouzhou sighed.

The father and daughter whispered to each other, unheard by the others, who glanced over at Qin Lie. Surprisingly, he didn't seem the least bit jealous, which left them a bit stunned.

From the rearview mirror, Qin Lie glanced at him but didn't say anything as he stepped on the gas.

Knowing that she wouldn't see Ye Lingfeng for a few days, Zhouzhou clung to him all the way, chattering on like a little old lady, reminding him to stay safe and keep his cool. Her fussing was endless.

Ye Lingfeng inwardly rolled his eyes at her nagging but couldn't hide his smile.

Qin Lie silently drove, giving them their time together.

Soon, the car pulled up to the school entrance. Zhouzhou, clutching Ye Lingfeng's hand, told him, "Daddy, come back soon. I'll be waiting for you."

"Alright." Ye Lingfeng nodded, smugly casting a look in Qin Lie's direction. See? His little girl cared about him the most.

Not bothering to argue, Qin Lie opened the door and helped Zhouzhou out, watching her enter the school before returning to the car.

Ye Lingfeng sighed dramatically, "Why is Zhouzhou so naggy at her age? What's up with that?"

Qin Lie's brow twitched, exasperated. "Are you done yet?"

"No!" Ye Lingfeng huffed. "You're just jealous, so you kicked me out on purpose, didn't you?"

"Tsk. I know you too well. No matter how scheming you get, Zhouzhou's favorite dad is still me."

Let him keep deluding himself.

Qin Lie rolled his eyes, "Should I call Zhouzhou and ask?"

"See?" Ye Lingfeng shook his head. "It's obvious you don't really care about Zhouzhou. With her skills at playing both sides, you know she'd say she loves us both. That's just to protect your feelings."

He's really talking nonsense now. He probably believes his own words, too.

Qin Lie, refusing to engage any further, rolled his eyes as he opened the door for him at the airport and motioned for him to hurry up and leave.

The moment Ye Lingfeng shut the car door, Qin Lie hit the gas and drove off.

Ye Lingfeng didn't mind. Jealousy, he understood it well; it made sense.

He turned and walked into the airport, stretching leisurely.

Time to go earn some money for his little girl.

Zhouzhou was working hard to make her own money, too.

The moment school was out, she packed up her little bag and headed to the bridge to set up her stall.

Just as she finished, a sharp scream rang out:

"Help! Murder!"
