CHAPTER START---

"First of all," Sero eats another chip while everyone is frozen, just staring at Horizon. "Yes, these are your chips, but in my defense...I ran out of snaps."

"How is that any defense?"

"Because it's your fault I was so stressed out, matching you in court isn't fun."

"Are you seriously blaming me for the fact that you're eating my snacks?"

"Yup," Sero continues eating.

Beneath his visor Horizon rolls his eyes and sighs.

"Whatever, being there was less fun," Horizon says. "What about the other thing, Team Horizon?"

Sero shrugs, "depends on how this thing goes," he gestures to the TV.

"Speaking of which, shouldn't you be there?" Shinso asks. "From where we're sitting it looked like you had a mental breakdown then just disappeared."

"Nezu can handle the rest without me," Horizon says as he looks around the room, seeing a few of his classmates completely stiff, as if they were too scared to breathe in his presence. "I just had to put all my cards on the table so everyone understands what's really at stake."

"Will you really leave?" Uraraka blurts out. "I mean, if you lose the case."

"Well, do you think I deserve to be a Pro Hero?" Horizon asks, and she frowns, looking down at her lap and clenching her fists.

"No," she grits out, squeezing her eyes shut as if expecting him to lash out. "But more people will die if you leave, so I... I don't know."

Deku and some of the others are watching him closely, ready to react to anything he does.

But Horizon just nods, "not bad floaty, saying that to my face took some real balls. But yeah this situation isn't about True Hero crap, because when the chips are down the only thing that matters is the numbers."

"You can't win the chips if you walk away from the table," Shinso says. "You should go back to court."

"Nope, too late to do that now, it'll make me look weak," Horizon says. "I actually just came here to check in on my team, and get my spare sword from my room."

"You burnt all that energy just to come get Scalpel?" Sero asks.

"Honestly, it wasn't that much energy, only took me two steps to get here," Horizon chuckles. "Only took me two steps to get here."

Sero pauses for a moment, trying to do the math, but Shinso beats him to it.

"That makes you, what, ten times more powerful than before the Gigantomachy?"

Horizon chuckles deeply, "well, that's a start, I'm still getting the hang of exactly how far my reach is now, but I'm at least one order of magnitude stronger, plus a little extra."

"Well atleast if you lose your mind again we won't have to worry," Shinso says, confusing everyone. "Nobody will be alive to deal with whatever comes next."

"I've got perfect control now, that won't happen again," Horizon says. "Now have fun watching my court case, I've got more important stuff to do."

Horizon walks down the hallway toward the elevator, leaving his classmates to breathe easy once more.

"Well, he seems exactly the same," Sero relaxes into his seat.

"He acts like nothing happens, but he's a lot scarier," Asui says, wrapping an arm around Ochako to comfort the shaken girl.

As Horizon is in the elevator he checks his phone, seeing a dozen missed calls and messages from Nezu, and after texting him a simple response he puts his phone back into his pocket.

Getting to the top floor and walking slowly, enjoying the peaceful moment before he gets back to work, Horizon stops in the hallway and looks to the girls side of the dorm.

He senses Momo and Jiro talking in Momo's room.

"The what?"

"That's what people are calling it, my fight with Gigantomachia," Horizon says.

"You win?" she asked.

"Uh, yeah, but, a lot of people became collateral damage," Horizon says. He speaks slowly and carefully, expecting her to turn on him at any moment. "I sort of picked up a city then threw it at Japan."

"Wow, didn't know you could do that," was all Mei said.

Horizon takes a surprised step back, "did you hear what I said?"

"Yeah, you dropped a city from the sky or something, was that the quake I felt a few days ago, man that knocked over all my tools, and you owe me a coffee for that."

"Wait, so it doesn't bother you that I killed a lot of people?" Horizon asks.

Mei's hands stop working for a moment, then she resumes. "I can't let things like emotions get in the way of my dreams and goals. So long as you're still in the Pro Hero business I'll make your gear to get my name out there, wait, are you expelled? Is that what you're here to tell me?"

"The court case is ongoing, I'll know in a few hours," Horizon says. "But I do have some bad news for you."

Mei stopped working to look at him, narrowing her eyes at his visor, "what did you do?"

"So I got a lot more powerful very suddenly, and broke Scalpel."

She immediately throws her pencil at his visor, which he stops with Takt, "what the hell is wrong with you!" she says while punching him in the chest, not even making him move. "Do you have any idea of how hard it was to upgrade that stupid sword for you!"

"Which is why I'm here to discuss another upgrade," he gently holds her shoulders and makes her take a step back.

"What, so you can break another one of my babies?"

Beneath the visor he rolls his eyes, "look either you can make it or I call Melissa."

Mei immediately stops talking, but keeps glaring at him with obvious disapproval, "tch, traitor..." She returns to drawing her designs. "What was the issue with the one that broke?"

"Energy overload, the metal can't handle my Booster Shot flowing through it to that level."

"I didn't know Booster Shot could flow into inanimate things."

"Booster Shot is the basis of my new move, Divide, basically energy slash projectiles." he explains.

"Why do you even need those, doesn't Amputate cut open everything?"

"Yeah but Divide does real damage from range, that's invaluable, anyway I need a sword that can handle it."

"Well I don't even have to look at what happened to know the only thing that might be able to handle your energy is you, so, you'll need an organic Hero Costume, or at least just a sword."

"Ok, so you need me to shave my head?" Horizon shrugs. "I can make my hair grow pretty quick so it shouldn't be a problem, how much?"

Mei stops working and looks at him, then takes one step forward and touches his jacket, feeling the material.

Then does the same for his shirt, pants, tie, torso, then pokes his body, feeling the gel plates of his Body Glove beneath.

She steps away and does the math in her head, then speaks, "it'll take at least a few feet of hair for this much fabric, considering the amount of layers you have. Not to mention that the amount of unique energy flowing through them will wear it down quickly if we don't mix in enough."

"Will that work for the sword too?" Horizon asks.

Mei chuckles darkly at that, "oh no, for that I'll need something harder."

"Like, fingernails?"

"You and I both know what I'm talking about..." she gives him a devious look, enjoying this small revenge for him breaking Scalpel.

Horizon sighs, "fine, how many of my bones do you need?"
