Chapter 44 Class Ascept

Fighting an opponent that could just disappear was definitely something to be afraid of. Who knows? He might be seconds away from peircing his heart.

Guilliman put his guard up immediately, what followed was a barrage of punches that instantly broke his jaw Causing him to bleed from his nose.

"Fuck!!" Guilliman cursed, raising his hand to guard against the incoming attacks, but how could he guard against something he couldn't see?

He kept getting struck from all sides, but he maintained his composure, quickly thinking.

Class Ascepts, he knew about these, it was an ability granted to Slayers after they cross the threshold of Blue and chose a class.

For people with predetermined bloodlines, it was much easier to initiate the class ritual while others had to actively find a way to go through it just like Guilliman.

However there were cons to the method of initiating an unknown ritual like that, as every class had its flaws.

Take the shaman class( Soul King in Guillimans case) dispite being born with exceptionally strong souls which allowed them to use their powers, they were constantly using large chuncks of soul essence in battles. So they devised several methods to not only control, but also replenish their soul powers.

This was the same for the blackberry family and their inherit class, but not Vincent. It seemed like he was charting an unexplored class, this early on? He couldn't be well toned to it.

That meant that he had a weakness, one that Guilliman could hopefully exploit.

Feeling a punch rush towards him Guilliman took it standing and grabbed Vincent's arm twisting it before using his leg to put im in a choke hold.

He was invincible, not intangible, a clear sign from him being able to hit him so often. This was Guillimans first conjecture.

However, he was wrong, as in the next second Vincent seemed to fade out of the choke hold and squirm into somewhere else.

"Well, it's starting to make sense....but still" Guilliman was a bit reluctant. He felt like he knew enough, but what he needed to do was to knock Vincent out with one heavy and unblockable strike, if not he would just get up.

He couldn't risk him going incorporeal and doing something like pulling his heart out.

"Hmmmm" taking out a large breath of air, Guilliman subtly caused a sword to appear in his hand.

This sword was white, with a covered hill that seemed attachéd to Guilimans very arm itself by a long robe mass. The sword also emitted a dangerous light that caused Vincent's blade to pale in comparison.

Such might could only bear the semblance of a Sacred Echo of a king Code beast.

Not even giving Vincent the time to gasp in shock, Guiliman rushed in his precise direction.

To those on the outside, he had picked a random location, but soon after the sound of a metallic clash resounded from thin air as Guilliman and Vincent clashed.

"I see you" he smirked for a breif moment then

"Wind gale!!" His Sword was consumed with wind energy pushing Vincent off his feet, in an instant his body became weightless as he was sent crashing into the back wall behind him by and overwhelming force, knocking him out cold.

From revealing the sacred echo of king code to revealing that he could in fact see him took about a few seconds, each of which were a massive shock to Vincent.

His prized accomplishment, his class Ascept had been seen through by a random no body??!! Was it all in his head? Was it really just a shitty Ascept he had gotten from that harrowing trial?

He didn't know, he couldn't, he was already out cold.

The whole crowd went silent as the participants exchanged looks of altering emotions. Had a slum rat really just defeated the young master of one the most noble families?
