"this is getting weirder every second..." a groan came from the side. lucas could not agree more.
they had agreed to come in a dungeon, not another dimension, and that too made of infection and puss.
many didn't say anything thinking if they open their mouth, the puke won't stop but they didn't have to wait.
some scary noises of shouting started coming from the big hole around 10 meters away from them.
everyone froze thinking that something would come out eventually and it did... after three whole minutes. a hand grabbed the many small gum-like growths around the hole and started coming above.
it was not the only one as soon the whole circle's boundary had some hand or two coming out of it.
lucas squinted his eyes and could see a head suddenly come out of the hole.
lucas couldn't help but frown as the face was like any other human's yet the skin was all chipped from many sides. there were various wet spots in it which were green in color, the eyes were normal aside from the reds in replacement of the whites.
"get ready!" lucas exclaimed and gripped his sword tightly, they had made the plan to not take a single step ahead and let the enemies come to them in order to not get any type of surprise attack.
soon, two of the zombies were out of the hole, they were not wearing any clothes as the whole body was covered in some kind of flesh growths and random muscle growths and bumps that made them disgusted.
unlike any zombies they had seen in movies before, these were the worst ones, and the thought of turning into these kinds of things made many have the urge to work harder.
his mind never thought of why the others weren't attacking and if they were using him as a shield to protect themselves. lucas just didn't care, his life and his group's life was in danger and he just wanted it all to end quickly.
lucas activated the electric aura of the sword for a second and when he felt that the process was over, he swiped the sword with all his might, this time though the zombie's hand came in between but the body was so wet and decomposed already that he could just go through it and the head all together.
lucas didn't feel any less of a human even when doing this to one that looked like it. he knew in his heart that these were not humans and in these cases, the most a person has a problem with is not their own mindsets but what the others think about them.
lucas knew that the others wouldn't judge him badly for it as they were also going to partake in the killing again.
lucas didn't have to do anything to the other one of the two that were the closest as jimmy had come and swiped one of his hands making the blade slice the head off without any trouble.
lucas just nodded toward the man who gave a smile in return but there was still a natural frown on his face, the situation was still very messed up.
lucas looked at the many other zombies coming slowly toward them without stopping.
about tens of them were moving forward and there were still that were climbing the holes.
"l-lucas..." suddenly, a scared voice came from behind, lucas looked back and saw that sarah was aiming her finger at the ground near him with a pale expression.
lucas looked at the side and couldn't believe it, the first zombie that he had killed was still lying headless with its head a few inches away.
but the abnormal thing was that black veins were coiling their way from the neck's inner flesh toward the head and some had already even connected themselves with the head.
before lucas could react, the head started reacting as the jaw moved slowly while the eyes regained their emotionless but functionalness of themselves.
