Chapter 99 A sad but happy ending yet again

sandra and haley may have not gained any fighting skills right now but they were still very helpful. haley helped shift big things with her storage ability making lives much easier.

sandra on the other hand planted all the seeds that they gained from the chest. she also watered the seeds while also storing water inside the storage room.

lucas and the others had left for the grazing area. while he had a determined face, ella was concerned for that pregnant female basilon.

when they were just a few meters away from entering the grazing area, he stopped and looked at all the people of the party with seriousness.

"these kobold are really strong so never break the formation. sarah and mike, just keep shooting your skills and try to hit them as much as you can. uncle john, it would be good if you used your bow this time around. jerry... you and i are going to fight head-on. remember how i taught you to use the buckler to stop the attacks while also trying to attack with your gauntlet, alright?"

everyone nodded, it was a foolproof plan to kill those bastards and take this area for their own. lucas had some plans for the area as it was pretty close to the shelter and animals would tend to come there if the kobolds would be taken care of.

with this, lucas marched again and stopped to look for anything too suspicious. now that he had for the first time taken a step out of the bush. he could see the area more clearly.

there was a huge boulder on the side of the grazing area and the whole area was covered with tall grass that could be used to make ropes and tie the logs that were taking a lot of space inside the shelter's territory.

he looked a bit further and was surprised to see that the whole farther area was a mess. the grass was torn apart, the ground was all loose with claw and foot marks everywhere. trails of blood seemed to have seeped inside the ground as it was everywhere.

lucas made his way further thinking that the things were already over and the culprit was clearly in front of him.

"it's still alive!!"

lucas's eyes darted toward the female basilon's corpse where ella was near its abdomen. she had her ear right at the dead creature's abdomen and a true smile formed on her previously concerned face.

"the baby?" john asked, he was right beside ella to make sure that nothing could hurt her. the big body may have seemed dead but god knows what can happen after they had fought the undead and had seen that death is not always an ending.

"quick quick! cut it open from here!" ella said with urgency and made a crease with her hand showing where to cut.

lucas went with his sword and made some small and weak slashes on it. the skin of the basilon was really a very tough thing, it did not cut for a few slashes but when the skin tore for the first time, it became easy to cut the inner flesh and muscle.

suddenly there were some movements where lucas was slashing and he stopped.

"wait! i will do it from here..." ella moved and with both of her hands, she made the torn skin into a big hole but there was still a lot of flesh there before they could reach the moving baby inside the dead basilon.

ella used her own hands to tear the flesh with force, she looked weak but after a lot of time leveling up her strength stat, she was stronger than an average 40 year old mother.

after a minute, ells finally reached the designated place and soon a head came out bulging from all the flesh that she tore unevenly and messily with her hands.

it was the most disturbing birth anyone had ever seen in their whole life.
