"So, the time has come already. Now, everyone will tell their preferences for the roles. Many have already told me what role they are going to get and the giving of these roles is left to be made in this official seating. I will take the names of the ones that have given me their role preference first." Lucas said while making eye contact with many.

Everyone looked either happy or nervous. Why wouldn't they be?

Some would get the roles that they wanted while some would be forced to take something else.

"Sandra, Haley, Sean, Barney, and John. Please get up." Lucas said with seriousness and soon, they all got up with solemn faces.

Everyone was made clear that while they knew each other for a long time, this was an official setting. Everyone was told to be professional with their attitudes by John.

"Sandra, you were the first to tell me what you want and now, I am hoping to give you the role of the healer, have you learned the skill?"

"Yes" Sandra said and moved her hand up, her whole body got engulfed with white flames that seemed to roam around just like fire.

Lucas activated his perceptive eye and nodded in agreement, it was truly healing magic.

"Good, I will give you the role now. Be prepared." Lucas had the hologram opened with the ones that he had to appoint marked as 'Important'.

Soon, Sandra got a message that she was now officially the healer of the territory, she nodded with a smile toward Lucas who just nodded toward her casually.

"Haley, you were the second." Lucas said and looked at her and continued, " You have asked for the 'cook' for the territory. I am asking you the last time now, do you want to have it?"

"Yes"

Lucas went and gave her the role in seconds, he was inwardly very happy that she took it as it was one of the main roles in the territory.

"Sean, you have selected Special trades worker as your role, do you want to have it?"

"Yes" Sean said in obedience with his head down.

Lucas's lip curved into a small smile for a second breaking the character of a serious leader but he after nodding in approval gave the guy his role.

"I will become the special soldier," Jerry said in a loud voice with his hand up.

"Good, I will give you this role now." Lucas smiled inwardly, what he had expected for the guy to get had been predicted nicely.

"Now, Mike. What is your preference?"

Mike seemed to wait for a while before he took in a big breather.

"I would like to become the builder."

"Hm?"

It was time for Lucas to be surprised. A realization came to him when he thought of Mike's skill.

"Are you confident in your ability to build? Because your skill also has many more implications."

"Yes... at first, I was looking at my skill all wrong, but now I know what it is made for."

Mike said and his eyes turned to a brownish glow. His hand moved when soon dirt particles started getting up in a single place.

In a matter of seconds, Mike was done with the process and a 1-meter-tall small wall was in front of everyone. It looked crude yet Mike had proven his capability.

"For now, I can make mud walls and way better than this one if given time. But I know for a fact that I can manipulate many other things such as metals if I get the skill proficiency and level up."

Lucas looked at the wall for a second and then at Mike, his face bloomed into a smile. Mike was delighted by such a change.

"Alright, I will give you this role. You may think that this role has not much work when we have a shelter but yours is one of the most important roles for the territory in this short period."

Lucas did not say anything further and gave him the role.

Now, only two were left to give roles to and it was them that Lucas had worried about the most.
