Chapter 215 The Kobolds are here!

It was now night and Lucas was sitting with everyone in the camp.

His hand was completely healed and nobody knew the aggressive punching he had involved himself in.

"Tell me everything now, Bill." He said in calm and everybody was surprised.

Bill felt even more relaxed and started, "The Kobolds are far but still inside the territory, their numbers are 10 and they have set up a rather odd-looking camp. There are leaves on the ground where they are staying, I think they use the leaves as a bed. They are very huge too."

Bill said while stopping again and again in between sentences as if he had the habit of telling a story only he was very bad at it.

Lucas looked at John and then at Jerry as if asking for their advise.

Jerry was surprised but it didn't stop him from grinning and roaring yet again, "I say we bash their skulls again, I didn't get a chance to fight anything all this time!"

Lucas nodded in agreement making others feel like this was the very reason he wanted Jerry to speak his mind.

"I think we are ready enough," John said and everyone's eyes moved to him. Most of them were surprised.

"Ugh... it's time to fight again." Sean said groaning in the middle of the unofficial meeting.

"Who says you have to go?" Lucas asked with confusion.

"Hm?" Now it was time for everyone to look at Lucas with surprise and a questioning gaze.

"I just told you, no one has to do anything other than their roles, only me, the healer, and the fighting roles will go."

"Oh my god! YAY!" Sean got up and jumped with his arms above his head.

"Sean, behave." Ella said with a perplexed face. She looked at Lucas and then at John, it seemed she wanted to say something yet the words were not coming out.

"Anybody can come if they want, it should not be forced," Lucas said while looking at Ella who now had a relaxed face.

She nodded in gratitude toward him and he just smiled.

"How will we do that?" Jerry asked wanting to change the subject already. Nobody liked a fighting couple anyway.

Yet some were having fun watching them as some sort of an entertainment escape after such a long time.

"We will be doing a sneak attack. They don't know that we are going to attack them this early. Do they seem ready to you, Bill?"

"No, they seem to be a very barbarian species, not making any settlement and just living in nature like it is normal. I saw them alive for the first time and aside from some claws nd strength, I couldn't see any intelligence."

"We will make a battle plan in the night. Till then, get ready and whoever wants to join, tell me before dawn."

Just like that, everyone went with their own things again completing their duties and having leisure time.

Lucas gave some time to John and Ella to talk and after they shouted at each other in the basement, everything became normal aside from one thing.

"Lucas, you will protect her with your life," John said staring into Lucas's eyes while holding his shoulders tight.

"Alright, Uncle John. I thought this was already established." Lucas said while holding in his laugh which was very hard at this point.

"No, you don't get it. She is not listening to me and I don't want to get mad at her. So, you have to keep her way back always without letting her get a single scratch, alright?"

Lucas thought this was all very unreasonable yet he knew where John was coming from.

"I will not, and to be honest. I haven't told you something yet."

"Oh god, what is it?"

"Nothing bad, it's just. I will fight most of them on my own." Lucas said with a grin on his face.

It was something very immature that he said, it seemed childish yet John knew differently. He was good at reading faces and that was the face of a person who was confident in his abilities and who had already made his mind.

"Sigh... there is no stopping you. But please come harmless alright. And keep my wife safe!"

Lucas was surprised that the guy had not scolded him so he just nodded with a smile to get the hell away from him before he changed his mind.
