Chapter 259 Graduation Exams (1)

Chapter 259 Graduation Exams (1)

Five Months Later...

Time flew by before I knew it. It is the end of the semester and also time to graduate from the academy. It's the end of the year and that means exams, but unlike the previous two, this one would be quite difficult. After all, this is a Graduation Exam, rather than a yearly exam.

There are two parts to this exam.

One of them obviously is the theoretical exam, where the exam paper is to test our theoretical knowledge. Though combat power is important, without proper theoretical knowledge, one would stumble on one's path more than one should. Without proper theoretical knowledge, the losses that they encounter would be much more than usual.

To avoid such encounters as much as possible, it is recommended that the graduated students have a minimum knowledge.

This minimum knowledge includes a list of local monsters and various local powers near and around Glessaria.

Knowing about monsters is required as one would fight those monsters once or more in their lifetime. Knowledge about local powers is required because they may encounter them and if by chance you unknowingly cause any friction with them, then that could be game over for you.

To avoid conflicts and the dangers that come with them, it's better to know with who you are dealing with.

Since I am planning to take a World tour, for me knowing more is good and that is what I did. I made sure to learn about as many powers as I can. I also made a copy of a list of powers around the globe. I know I would remember them but if I don't recognize them effectively, then these notes would be of good use.

I may look powerful but as I keep saying from the start, there are many mysteries in this world. So it's best not to underestimate anyone.

Though the Rank of a person is what is widely used to determine the strength of a person, it is not the sole indicator to decide whether a person is strong or not.

Yes, with a higher rank, the person would have high enough attributes to overwhelm others of lower rank but increasing the rank is not the only way to increase attributes. It is just the most common and easy way.

In the Class Combat part, we have to fight each other.

We would be facing students from the same class section or other sections. It was done through random picking from a bowl. Based on the performance of the match, points were awarded by the presiding judges.

Each student has to fight ten matches. This is done so that a fair chance is given to all students. If by chance an F-Class student had to fight with an A-Class student, there is no point in fighting such a fight. The F-class one would lose as long as the A-class student is not a moron and make no mistakes.

Even though an F-class student is considered poor in knowledge and weak, he is still a student of the academy. Throwing them out like that is not on the agenda.

Sure, some F-class students would win nothing in these matches but that doesn't mean the academy would make everyone depressed by just matching with the A-class students and losing the matches.

No, they make it fair by allowing everyone to fight ten matches.

Of course, the opponents depend on their luck. If by chance everyone is from higher classes, then there would be nothing to do about it.

Luck is also a factor that would decide how high one can reach in life after all.

If their luck is shit, there is nothing the academy can do about it.

---

That's all there is about the Graduation Exam.

Once this is over, I would graduate from the academy and from then on free to do so whatever I want to. I can visit all the places in the world.

It may take decades to do so but with the higher lifespan that I have and the extra lifespan that I can earn by increasing my rank further, I am sure that I can visit all the places, as long as nothing bad happens.
