"Prince Asura, is there a reason you have summoned everyone at this time?" One of the arachne nobles asked. Her name was Ristana, and she used to help supervise a large clan of kobolds. She looked at him with her bright blue body and eyes, watching him closely.

Queen Shizuka gave a nod. From the moment he returned from the outside, she felt his atmosphere was odd. He already slept with Rasha, which she confirmed earlier, so now she considered him like her son and wouldn't stop him speaking.
'I wonder what could have made him this nervous, though?' She thought while leaning her head on her palms.
Inside the throne room, he looked across the various nobles and some of his trusted allies. Then, with a deep breath, he began to speak about his meeting with 'The Calamity' Freyja moments before that, causing everyone to take a cold breath of air as they did not know she had come to Arachneas at all.
"So you are saying that Lady Freyja claimed there was something dangerous inside the palace?" Ristana asked in a calm voice. Her gaze watched him with eyes like sapphires.

"How can this be?" One of the arachne exclaimed, lowering her large body to the ground while covering her face.
"Understood..." Queen Shizuka nodded to herself while closing her eyes, lost in thought.
"One moment, Asura, My Queen, would it not be prudent to check if the empire's delegation has made any movements? If they have prepared to leave or want to reorganise our discussion at a later date, might they be preparing to evacuate to avoid the explosion?"
Asura found that the blue spider Lady Ristana was a very intelligent woman—despite her exotic colour, he found several similarities with the queen herself.
He observed everyone's reactions. Asura didn't want to miss the enemy just because he was looking at a beautiful woman.
"You are right, then, Prince Asura. I would like to seek your help, but staying here is dangerous for you and your troops. Do you still wish to aid us? You might gain nothing but demerits."
Shizuka seemed to have changed after last night; was it because he slept with Rasha? Asura wasn't completely sure, but her eyes did not look at him with hunger and instead were filled with concern and a sense of hope.
"I do not know if this is the right thing to do, but... if this city disappears, then part of my heart will disappear with it. I came here to try and negotiate to help your people, so I don't want to leave you behind now. Especially as I consider you family, does this answer your question, Your Majesty?"
Asura answered with his head held high, speaking his true feelings, surprising the others. The queen nodded. Her beautiful purple eyes flickered with a beautiful gleam. His answer was beyond what she expected as her legs were tapping the frame of her throne in delight.
"Then please, Prince Asura, help us find this thing."

"Don't worry, Atilla. I have confirmed that the princess has become a woman, and we didn't use the usual tactics either. He desired her naturally."
The elder Atilla looked at her queen with disbelief as she covered her face with her palms. Her shoulders were trembling as if she was crying, but she slowly looked up at Shizuka with red eyes, revealing a broad smile. "I'm so happy for the young princess, and we should be thankful to the goddess who gifted our next queen with such a wonderful partner!"
"Thank you, Atilla. I am grateful for your honest feelings."
Arachne females might sound harsh or speak negatively, but deep down, they were a very affectionate race with their sisters and children.
The reason Shizuka wanted to keep it quiet was to avoid getting their hopes up, and it took a long time for her daughter and the prince to come closer. The others nodded in understanding. They felt glad the prince wasn't forcing Rasha to move away and leave them. The elders also knew they couldn't keep it secret for much longer, so they needed to do this before the enemies arrived.
"Understood, Her Majesty, I shall now go and complete the search with the information from Prince Asura's testimony." Ristana gave a polite bow before leaving the room like Cluva. After she left, everyone else started to depart, their faces once glum now rather bright and hopeful.
Shizuka slowly returned to her chambers, looking at the room where her daughter was sleeping, the thick scent of their union filling the air, causing quite a frustrating sensation for the queen. 'Those two... how many times did that do it? I've never experienced something so intense...'
She was a queen and had once been in love during her long life, but her husband was nothing like her daughter's man.
