Chapter 377 Iron Claw
Chapter 377 Iron Claw
Ty considered their upcoming challenge, his eyes settling on Rosana. "We can figure things out further as we get all our equipment ready," he said. "Do you use any gear or stuff?"
"Hmmm, not really," Rosana replied, her voice even, her stare a bit distant and frosty.
Led by two guards, they walked down a corridor until they arrived at a room marked 'Armory'. One guard, holding a clipboard, began to recite their directive. "You are to grab one bag of supplies, grab your normal gear. Everything here was donated or established.
Additionally, depending on the sponsors and the amount of money donated, you may purchase an extra bag or other items at the tablet in the center of the field."
"Anything purchased will be delivered upon the start of the Arena," he continued, ensuring they understood the procedure.
Finishing his briefing, the guard looked up from the paper. "If you have any other questions, feel free to follow up with Lord Herald or anyone else beforehand," he said, offering further assistance if needed.
The guard's instruction hung in the air, a reminder of the urgency of their task. "Once you have all your equipment set up and you're ready to move to the staging area, please meet me back out here."
Ty led the way as the metal doors before them slid open, revealing a room aglow with a red sign that blinked "Storage Room" above the entrance. They stepped inside, the vastness of the armory unfolding before them.
In the far corner, Ty spotted his own outfit, isolated and unaccompanied by additional gear.
Next to it, a sign labeled "Gisorn" caught his attention. Underneath were 20 different firearms listed with a variety of calibers, surrounded by cans of ammunition and assorted items.
Ty meandered through the vast white-patterned room, his mind tracing over the recent events. He didn't have much in the way of weapons, but his thoughts lingered on the blade that Erebos had tampered with. When I connected my fist to that asshole's chin, I felt the cold metal heating up around the flames as I summoned them, he mused, piecing together the puzzle.
His best guess was that Erebos somehow fused the blade with his flames, so when he used fire, he was also wielding the sword. The reason behind it eluded him, but he shrugged it off internally. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually.
His eyes then caught sight of John, kneeling in front of his equipment with his hands clasped together.
Ty had not expected to witness a moment of prayer in such a place. He noticed John's gear: golden brass knuckles lined on a metal locker, shoulder pads, and knee pads with slight spikes—tools of battle and defense. Beside them, a bottle filled with a purple liquid caught his attention. Oh, I suppose that might be some type of poison, he thought.
It then occurred to Ty that he might have missed an opportunity. Now that I think about it, I probably should have kept Blue with me. She would have been great for recon work. A tinge of regret crossed his mind, but it was quickly replaced with confidence that JJ was taking good care of her.
Ty's thoughts on Blue were interrupted when he noticed Rosana in the corner, her hands deftly working on something. Curiosity drew him closer as she appeared to be fastening a device to her wrist.
"What are you up to?" Ty asked, leaning in for a better look.
Rosana turned to face him, a small tool in her hand. "Just using some of the equipment they provided... My father used to fight with extended claws like these," she explained.
Ty, puzzled, asked, "What do you mean by an extended claw?"
Standing up, Rosana revealed a patch of fur that traced along her arms, subtly blending black and red. Without another word, she flexed her wrist, and from the band, a singular long black claw extended with a swift motion. She tilted it from side to side, the sharp edge catching the light, displaying it to Ty. Stay connected through empire
