Chapter 26: Disciple of the Dan Sect

Chapter 26: Disciple of the Dan Sect

Mo Yang and the others were led to a private room, where the shopkeeper personally brought three cups of the finest tea.

"Young friend, do you happen to have any other pills on you?" the shopkeeper asked with a smile.

Mo Yang silently sat down and took a sip from his teacup. He knew the shopkeeper was deliberately testing him, because if he came from the Dan Sect, he would surely have more than one type of pill on him.

"Of course, I have pills, and I’m willing to sell, but it depends on the price you offer," Mo Yang said as he set down his teacup, a faint smile on his lips.

The shopkeeper’s expression subtly changed upon hearing this. He was now certain that Mo Yang was from the Dan Sect, and his smile grew even wider. "The price of each pill differs. I wonder what types of pills you have?"

Mo Yang smiled and took out three bottles of pills, which were Xisui Dan (Washing Marrow Pills), Zhu Yan Dan (Youth Restoring Pills), and Ling Yuan Dan (Spirit Source Pills).

The shopkeeper carefully took them, then opened each bottle to inspect. His eyes lit up with increasing intensity. Having dealt with pills for years, although he couldn't refine them himself, he could tell their quality. These pills were of top-notch quality, far superior to those sold in his store.

To him, it seemed Mo Yang wasn’t just an ordinary disciple of the Dan Sect; he was probably a genius disciple, otherwise, his pill refining skills wouldn’t be so impressive.

"Young friend, it’s rare for you to come to our Xuantian City, and it’s fate that we meet. Today, let me treat you as a friend. I’ll buy all three pills for the price you mentioned: fifteen thousand silver taels each," the middle-aged man said, his attitude suddenly very warm. In his eyes, forging a connection with a core disciple of the Dan Sect would make his business much easier in the future.

Xu Xin and Su Fei’er quietly sipped their tea. Neither of them knew anything about pill refining, so they didn’t speak much, but both were deeply surprised, growing increasingly puzzled.

"Let’s go with the price the shopkeeper mentioned," Mo Yang said, his heart cold with a sneer. As expected, no business deal is without its tricks. Though the shopkeeper made a fortune from this, Mo Yang would never lose out.

Mo Yang took out two hundred of each pill from his storage ring.

As the white jade bottles filled the table, the shopkeeper’s smile grew so wide it almost became a flower.

He immediately instructed someone to bring the silver bills. A total of nine million silver taels in bills were stacked thickly, even though some were large-denomination bills.

Mo Yang didn’t hesitate. He took the silver and placed it in his storage ring, then stood up to leave.

Later, Mo Yang selected a long sword made from refined steel at a weapon shop, spending two hundred thousand silver taels on it.

Meanwhile, Su Fei’er, now carrying a fortune, returned to her true nature. In Xuantian City, she bought everything she liked, filling her storage ring with all sorts of strange and wonderful items.

She then dragged Mo Yang into a fancy restaurant. "Mo Yang, this restaurant is the most luxurious in Xuantian City. We can’t miss it since we’re here!" she said eagerly.

Once inside, Mo Yang paused. He saw that mysterious woman again, sitting quietly by the window, her expression cold and distant, as though she were rejecting everyone from a thousand miles away.

Xu Xin and Su Fei’er also saw her. Su Fei’er immediately fell silent. She had seen with her own eyes that this mysterious woman could walk on air using only her own power.

Xu Xin glanced at the mysterious woman, then looked at a nearby table. She whispered, "Those people are from the Xuan Sect. The one at the outermost table is Pang Long. He’s a proud one. If he tries to provoke you, don’t engage!"

Mo Yang didn’t say anything and simply glanced at Pang Long before walking toward the empty table in front of the mysterious woman.

As soon as they approached, Pang Long noticed Xu Xin. "Well, if it isn’t Xu sister! It’s been a year, and you’ve grown even more beautiful!" Pang Long exclaimed, standing up and moving toward the empty table, his eyes scanning Mo Yang and Su Fei’er. "Is this the little sister joining the competition this year? Hehe, Ling Xu Sect might not be impressive, but it sure does produce beauties!"

Su Fei’er immediately frowned and subtly shifted closer to Mo Yang, as Pang Long didn’t look easy to deal with.

Xu Xin’s expression soured. She merely nodded without saying anything. A few years ago, during the Martial Arts Tournament, she had clashed with Pang Long, and she knew his character well, especially when he had deliberately torn her clothes last year, almost causing her to be publicly humiliated.

"Xu sister, I thought you wouldn’t dare to come this year. I still remember last year’s battle in the arena with you. It really left a deep impression! Too bad I didn’t get to see you in your full glory. You’d better be careful this year!" Pang Long continued, looking at the other disciples from the Xuan Sect, who all laughed loudly.

Mo Yang casually sat down, then looked at Pang Long, calmly saying, "Get lost!"
