Leon stared at the description of the mission and his eyes immediately lit up. 2000 exp just to reveal the location of intruders, he didn't need to capture them or fight them personally.
'The system was giving him a solution to his lack of exp problem!'
Quin Xuxu stared at Leon in confusion when he saw the latter suddenly wearing a serious expression. She thought that he was about to play another trick and try to touch her, but Leon suddenly stared at her with a sharp look.
"Intruders!"
He shouted with a tone of urgency.
Quin Xuxu raised an eyebrow, and her confusion deepened.
"What do you mean intruders? There's no one here" Quin Xuxu argued.
Leon shook his head.
"Not here, at the back of the mountain. Follow me, we don't have much time so I can't explain right now!" Leon replied before jumping on top of the roof and then outside the house.
Quin Xuxu was confused but still followed behind him; this was the first time Leon was so serious about something that didn't concern anything lewd, so she was curious.
Both of them quickly dashed down the mountain and arrived at the sect ground before running along the edge of the sect perimeters.
Quin Xuxu quickly caught up to Leon and was running beside him, they ran for a few seconds before Quin Xuxu turned toward him.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
"You said they were at the cold cell at the back of the sect, right?"
She asked as they ran, Leon nodded in confirmation.
"Ok, then we need to be faster"
Immediately after Quin Xuxu said this, she suddenly swayed toward Leon and scooped him up.
Carried him in a princess carry style, and her speed instantly increased.
Leon was stunned; he only felt a pair of soft hands wrapping around his body, and he was then lifted into the air; his surroundings blurred right after as Quin Xuxu moved at a level of speed that was too fast for him to see clearly.
Zi Yan's eyes widened before a look of fury formed in her eyes, this unconscious girl was her disciple!
"What did you do to her?" She growled like a tigress.
"Calm down, we saved her. After she had her meridians destroyed and lost all her strength, he has been suffering at the hands of outer sect disciples who had grudges against her. We just saved her from being drowned after being tossed into a well" The cloaked figure explained.
Zi Yan's eyes flashed as she took a good look at her disciple; truly, her disciple had multiple bruises, and she was a mess; it was clear that she had suffered a lot these past few days after she was locked up.
"We have a score to settle with the Grand Elder of the Falcon sect and intend to implicate the whole sect, assist us and we will get you out of here at that time"
The cloaked person in the middle proposed when Zi Yan was observing her disciple's condition; he presumed that the woman must be boiling with rage at this moment from seeing how her disciple had suffered.
Zi Yan lifted her gaze to them at this point.
"If you think you get anything from me with just her, then you must be mistaken. She's a useless girl who couldn't carry out a simple instruction and landed me in this situation; I have no need of her anymore," she uttered casually.
The cloaked figures turned mute. The sympathizing approach had failed; now was the time for the negotiation approach.
" Then what do you want?" The cloaked person in the middle asked.
" I want to kill Quin Xuxu with my own hands," Zi Yan voiced out without a moment of hesitation.
The people looked at Zi Yan inside the cell before looking at each other, clearly surprised by her request.
"So be it them, we shall fulfill your desire. But first, you'll have to help us with something" They accepted her terms after a few seconds of silence.
"What do you need?"
"The weak point of the sect's protective barrier, we need to break it to be able to carry out our plan"
The figure said.
Zi Yan turned silent as she thought of this matter. The protective barrier around the sect was a level 3 formation that was gifted to the sect by the emperor after the sect became a second-rated sect; it was sturdy enough to keep a group of level 8 martial artists outside for a whole day and was able to block the invasion of beasts.
If the barrier was removed, the falcon sect would be faced with a sort of hidden and unhidden danger.
'Why am I even still concerned about a sect that condemned me for someone who broke the rules?' Zi Yan snapped her head at this thought.
