Chapter 184 – Rescuing Elders

Leo was monitoring everything and made sure that nothing went wrong. All data was recorded and analyzed, and his team was ready to go into action at any moment.

Jessica also returned in the morning, bringing news about the result of her spreading information.

"It seems that everyone is on board." She said as she handed her report to Leo. "The other Sects are sending their warriors and their representatives to the alliance headquarter. They didn't want an evil man like Kang Jian to have control over the Central Plains and the world."

"Good. This is the result we need." Leo nodded, his eyes sharp. "We have to move quickly and finish this before Kang Jian regains his strength and revive the Supreme Evil. Let's go."

He rose from his chair and walked out of the room.

Right now, he was in Mercenary Union base where everyone was getting ready for the war. They had received information about the alliance and the situation in the Capital.

The Elders were waiting for them at the alliance headquarter, and they needed to move fast.

In the Mercenary Union's main hall, many people had gathered. They were members who accepted Leo's request to join the war and fought under his command.

"Everyone, it's time to move!" Leo's voice rang in the air, and he raised his fist.

"We have a mission to complete, and we will finish it! Each of you will be given 5 Golds in advance and another 5 Golds upon returning. Each head you took worth 10 silvers, and 50 Golds for the commander. In case you're dead, 10 Golds will be given to the name you've written in your will! Are you ready?!"

"Yes, sir!"

Everyone answered loudly, their eyes filled with determination and their hands holding their weapons tight. No one backed down, and they were ready to fight.

"Then, let's go! Destroy Kang Jian! We will topple the Murim Alliance today!"

With that, the Mercenary Union moved out. Their enemies waited for them in the capital, and they were ready for a fight.

Leo watched the people who were leaving. He had chosen some group to be the leaders, showing the mercenaries where to go and who to fight.

"Is this the place?"

He went into a secluded clearing inside the forest with Jessica and Chiaki.

The reason why he was here was because Chiaki had created a vehicle using the Armory Room.

"Yes, Leader. I have hidden it using the stealth function, but it's definitely here. Let me just... Done."

A large cube that looked like a storage room appeared in front of them. It was hidden behind a huge boulder, making it invisible to the eyes. When Chiaki clicked a button on the cube, it opened, revealing a large vehicle with a shape of a stealth aircraft carrier from the modern world.

It had rotors and blades on top, making it able to fly even without a long runway.

"Good job. This is exactly what we need."

"Thank you, Leader. But this is not all. Come and see this."

Chiaki and Leo entered the vehicle. The interior was luxurious and spacious, and the seats were comfortable and made of leather.

"Just shut up!" Yuang Li frowned, his eyes sharp. "We have to stay calm and keep our minds focused. If we lose ourselves now, we won't be able to get our revenge. Just think about how that bastard Kang Jian treated us, and you will get your strength back. We are still martial artists! We will not fall so easily!"

Strength returned slightly after the motivational speech.

"We'll be ready, Mr. Leo. How long do we need to wait for the rescue?" Yuang Li, acting as the Elders representative because he was the one making the deal, asked with a trembling voice.

With no food or water for a few days, it was natural for them to feel weak and shaky. They just hoped that they wouldn't be too late.

"In a few seconds. Go hide in the corner away from the entrance and brave for an explosion."

"What?"

"Now!"

An urgent voice rang from the toy and Yuang Li jumped.

"Run to the corner!" He shouted to everyone. "Hurry!"

The Elders didn't ask any questions and did as he said. They ran to the corner of the room and hid behind a huge stone pillar.

A few seconds later, something pierced the roof. It dropped at a fast speed and crashed into the ground. Upon crashing, a huge explosion followed, and the building was torn apart.

The Elders were thrown away by the shockwave and hit the wall. But they were unharmed.

"What's going on?!"

One of the Elders asked as he rose to his feet, his face pale and his body shaking. He saw that they were covered in a black sphere that prevented them from being harmed by the explosion. The sphere retracted and became the small-Coco once again.

However, they didn't have time to marvel in that. They were in shock. Their surroundings, the residence they were in a moment ago, was obliterated. The only thing left was rubble and debris.

"Good, you're still alive."

A familiar voice rang not from the toy but above them. Yuang Li looked up and saw a sleek black vehicle hovering in the air. It was covered in armor, making it look foreign.

A hatch on the bottom of the vehicle opened, and a ladder dropped to the ground. From the opening, they could see Leo crouching and grinning.

"Hop on. We only have a few seconds to leave this place." He said as he held his hand out. "Let's go, Elders. Your savior is here."
