Liu Le'er paid no heed to the four guards as she eagerly rushed toward the entrance, displaying remnants of the energetic little girl she had been during her time with Han Li in the Spirit Domain Realm.
Han Li was just about to follow along when the four guards extended their weapons to block his path.
"Stay back!"
Han Li's brows furrowed slightly as he stopped in his tracks.
"What do you think you're doing?" Liu Le'er asked as she turned around with a cold expression.
The guard with the highest cultivation base of the four cupped his fist in a salute toward Liu Le'er as he explained, "Forgive us, Young Mistress Le'er, but this fellow daoist is not a Heavenly Fox being, so if he wants to enter our settlement, then he'll have to secure permission from Elder Mu."
"I'll explain this matter to Elder Mu, so all of you can stand down," Liu Le'er said in a cold voice.
The guard was silent for a moment, but didn't relent.
"Please don't make our job more difficult than necessary, Young Mistress Le'er."
"How dare you!" Liu Le'er snapped in a furious voice as she made a grabbing motion to release a burst of gray light, which swept up the weapons of the guards to hurl them aside.
Han Li's eyes lit up slightly upon hearing this.
It seemed that Liu Le'er was wearing some type of treasure that concealed her cultivation base, and only in the wake of this display of power from her was Han Li able to detect that she had also reached the High Zenith Stage.
Even though it was only the early-High Zenith Stage, it was still worlds apart from her cultivation base back in the Spirit Domain Realm.
The four guards immediately tightened their grips around their weapons to prevent them from being torn away.
Even though they were only at the Golden Immortal Stage, they seemed to be adept in some type of collaborative secret technique that allowed them to combine their powers to withstand Liu Le'er's grab, but blood was trickling down from the corners of their lips, and it was clear that they had not withstood the attack without physical strain.
Liu Le'er had only recently reached the High Zenith Stage, so she was still yet to fully consolidate her cultivation base. Right as she was about to unleash an even more powerful attack, an authoritative voice suddenly rang out.
"Stand down, all of you!"
At the same time, a burst of tremendous force appeared between Liu Le'er and the four guards to forcibly separate them.
"You think you can just come and go from this place as you please? Tell me your objectives first!" Elder Mu demanded as a gray light barrier appeared over the exit of the hall.
