The September sun, already well into autumn, was no longer as scorching as it had been in summer, and a light breeze brought a slight chill.
Hai City University was especially lively today.
On the wide stone-paved paths around campus, sophomores and juniors who had been back at school for five days were coming and going, some with backpacks and some carrying books. Ye Jinning, who had just finished her first morning class, was walking slowly toward the dorm building, lightly kicking stones as she went, a small backpack on her shoulders.
"Today is the first day of freshman registration, so finally someone is moving in with me," Ye Jinning murmured to herself.
"Sch... Scholar Sister," a boy struggling with two huge suitcases stammered as he came up to Ye Jinning.
Ye Jinning paused in surprise. Scholar Sister? Oh right! The new students are here. I, Ye Jinning, have leveled up to Scholar Sister! Hehe, nice!
"Excuse me, Scholar Sister. Where is Dorm Building 12? I... I seem to have gotten lost..." The shy boy raised his hand to rub the back of his neck in embarrassment, his face turning red.
Faced with such an adorable junior student, Ye Jinning immediately assumed her new role as Scholar Sister, the corner of her mouth quirking up as she pointed ahead. "Keep going straight down this road to the second intersection, then turn right. Dorm Building 12 is the second building on the left side."
The little junior's eyes were dazzled by Ye Jinning's smile and his face grew even redder. Not daring to raise his head and look at her again, he hurriedly thanked her, "Tha... Thank you, Scholar Sister," then ran off, pulling his luggage behind him.
Ye Jinning laughed at how cute her little junior student was. I wonder if my new dormmate is as cute as this one, she mused.

However, she didn't envision herself as the female protagonist. After all, she herself came from a wealthy family, so she didn't care whether her future husband was some business tycoon or not.
But! Her brother was a CEO! So she would envision her brother as the male lead CEO when reading, bursting into laughter imagining her brother trying to woo girls by arrogantly declaring "Woman, you've successfully attracted my attention!" like those CEOs.
She also liked picturing He Junting in the CEO role. After all, He Junting often had that stereotypical CEO's stern and cold expression.
"Hahahahaha! So silly!"
The moment Xu Wanwan opened the dorm room door, she heard a loud burst of laughter.
Glancing up, she saw Ye Jinning hugging her phone with an awkward expression, staring right at her.
Ye Jinning?? Why would she be living in the dorm? Didn't she stay in an apartment near campus in my last life? Why is this happening?
Seeing someone enter, Ye Jinning realized she had just embarrassed herself by her little outburst. She immediately sat up straight, trying to regain her composure. That's when she noticed Xu Wanwan frozen in the doorway, staring at her.
Hey! Wasn't this the pretty lady who worked in the cafeteria over summer break? She's my new roommate! Awesome!
