What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company?

Chapter 289 Her Information Broker Side

Chapter 289 Her Information Broker Side

I sat across from Mara as I watched her devour the potato omelette I made for her.

I'm not really sure but I think she might have orgasmed once or twice while eating it...

I mean... I assume she did since she shuddered quite violently while letting out a really lewd moan while she was eating it.

Speaking of which, she initially wanted to just store it away and eat it slowly but I assured her that I would be staying here for a while since we need to do some renovations to the ship as well.

That means that I would be around to make more food for her if she wants to.

Speaking of which... I also intend to put my black market plans into motion as well, especially since I have a large cargo space now.

Now that I know buying and selling the black market can allow me to get around paying taxes for the trade goods, I realise that I had underestimated how lucrative this trade could be.

The only question I had now was why people weren't just trading exclusively through the black market instead.

That was also one of the reasons why I came to look for Mara since I do want to get some black market information from her as well.

But for now... I was fully enjoying the sight of Mara moaning over the food I made for her.

Mara picked up another spoonful of the potato omelette to bring it to her mouth.

"Mmmm!! Ahhhh~ So good~ Mnnnn!! Ahhhhnnn~"

Uh-huh... I think that's her third orgasm...

She then placed the fork down before she slumped back in her seat, leaving half of the potato omelette still inside the container that I had used to bring the food to her.

"That was... That was even better than anything that I have eaten before, Tera..." She moaned.

I smiled at her compliment, "Thanks. The potatoes I used were actually grown by us, courtesy of Lea."

"Ah, the Alv slave on your ship, right? That would explain things."

"And also I made use of better cooking appliances this time."

She perked up, "Oh yes. You have a new ship now right? And you even set up a Mercenary Company as well. You've really come a long way, haven't you, Tera? And in such a short time too."

I guess I really have, haven't I? It hasn't even been a year yet.

She closed the lid over the box reverently before placing it to the side of the table, obviously saving it for later.

"Now... I believe you have come here for another reason aside from just delivering food to me, am I right? What do you need?"@@@@

I raised my hand, "Before that... I just want to know who those men from earlier were and whether I should be concerned for you or myself about them?"

I'm not really convinced but since she says so herself... Fine.

"Black markets," I told her simply.

She sat a little straighter and her face turned serious, "What about them do you want to know?"

"I know where it is and what to expect from it... But I heard from Amber that around the outer colonies, the security checks on ship cargo is less strict which is why smuggling is so profitable. And since black markets allow you to avoid paying station taxes on the goods you buy... Why doesn't everyone just trade exclusively through that?"

She tilted her head slightly, "Was Amber not able to answer this question?"

"Ah... I didn't ask her."

"Hmm? Fufufu~ I see, I see. In that case, allow me to answer. It's very simple, really. The average person does not know how to access the black market. Additionally, for most of the black market in most stations, they aren't open to just anyone."

Ah... Oh right... I got access to the black market here through that pirate's recommendation. What was her name again? Holoface Yisra? No wait... Yirfa! That's right. I wonder how she's doing?

I was also reminded of the black market I went to in Denibi station which I needed clearance from the Rattlers to access.

Granted, the entire station is basically a black market itself but you get the idea.

I guess for normal traders, they normally don't get access to those types of places and there's also the risk of getting caught by authorities and also getting yourself robbed and killed by the people in the black market itself too.

Mara leaned forward slightly, "I'm assuming you wish to become a black marketeer?" Find adventures on My Virtual Library Empire

I recognised that term to refer to someone who primarily trades on the black market.

I shrugged, "I probably won't do it full time but I do intend to dip my hand in it for a while just to get some Credits in my terminal."

She nodded in understanding, "And I assume you wish to know the best place to sell or maybe even how to access some of the black markets in other stations?"

I scratched my cheek, "Umm... I already did some research on the black market prices so I can do that on my own. I would definitely not turn down the offer of knowing how to access those black markets though. Ah... Unless you have some information about the best place to sell White Powder?"

Her eyebrow raised slightly, "You have White Powder on board? How many are we talking about?"

"Like two crates worth..."

"Two crates worth... Have the White Powder been packed into individual packets?"

I nodded.

She thought for a moment, "That means we're looking at about five hundred packets of it... Hmm... Not enough for a big sale but perhaps a refill? In that case... Ah. You could actually just sell it in this system actually. There's a buyer that I could introduce you to and they'd be happy to take them off your hands for forty thousand Credits per bag.

If you want higher than that price, you would need to go out of this system but there's also greater risks."

Oh, that's already a better price than what M at the Rattlers gave us.

Since Mara is the one introducing me anyway, I don't mind taking it.
