"I need you to go to the Island of Crete and get me one of those fruits in the legends, that’s all I wat from you, it is not too difficult, is it?" Ares said as his face morphed into that of a crazy clown.

"What are you planning to achieve by getting that fruit, are you perhaps trying to increase your power?" asked Cephissus.

Everybody knew about the secret tree planted in the Island if Crete.

Nobody knows where it was and no matter how many times they visit the island, they never saw any tree matching that characteristics making many to believe it to be nothing more than a baseless rumour.

But to the few people that know, they have tried many times to approach Adamantheia in order to get their hands on the fruit from that tree but they all had the same answer which a very resounding No.

It is said that a fruit from that tree can increase the power of gods and cultivators alike and putting them on a whole different level.

It is also said that Zeus and his siblings also had a fruit from the tree which is what made them to defeat the Titans in the Titanomachy.

Cephissus knew how hard it will be to convince Adamantheia to let him take a fruit from the tree, he might not even be able to convince her, so getting that fruit is out of the question.

"You don’t ask the questions, all you just have to do is get the fruit and you can meet my father, isn’t that what you want?"

"You are forgetting something, I can walk in here even if that means provoking the entire gods of Olympus, you are not but a little child to me" said Cephissus who was fed up playing games with Ares.

If he had asked for something simpler, maybe be he would have been obliged to help him with it but getting that fruit is a no no for him.

"Now what?" Hera sighed and said.

"Me?"

The servant confused asked Hera who looked at her as if she was not supposed to be here.

Seeing that look, the servant gulped hard and knew Hera was on her normal mood swing and staying here any further might cause her, her life, so she quickly ran away.

Hera snickered before taking a seat as she awaited the person whom she felt.

After a while, the guard who stopped Cephissus at the base of the mountain arrived before her and bowed his head "greetings, Queen of the gods, I have an urgent matter to tell you" said the guard.

Hera frowned when she sensed the seriousness and the urgency of the matter "do continue" she told the guard.

"The god of war, Ares has engaged in battle with the river god Cephissus at the base of the mountain" the guard said.

Hera sighed and rubbed her forehead as if she was having a headache father what she heard "that brat, must he resort to violence every single time" Hers said while standing up and making her way to the mountain before things escalate.

At the base of Mt. Olympus

"I admit you are strong and if given a little more time then you will surpass me but right now, you don’t even hold a candle to me" said Cephissus as he bashed Ares to a corner.

Ares coughed out a mouthful of blood before getting right back up "I don’t need time to beat your ass, I can just do it right here and right now" said Ares who attacked Cephissus immediately after he said that.

Cephissus was caught of guard by Ares whom he thought who stay down for another couple of minutes but it was not the case "I see why you are called the god of war, you improve with every fight" said Cephissus who turned around quickly and parried the attack from Ares’s sword "but I have been at it for millions of years before you were even born"
