Chapter 1674 - 918: Endless Abyss Will_2
Chapter 1674 - 918: Endless Abyss Will_2
These Witch Demons, after suffering fatal blows, couldn’t even escape their fate of soul dissolution and naturally had no chance of revealing Lis’s actions to others.Meanwhile, in this mist filled with eerie and deathly aura, the Witch Demons’ figures continued to appear like phantoms, increasing in numbers.
The Witch Demons that Lis hunted were only a small part compared to the massive gathering within the mist.
Therefore, Lis’s actions on the battlefield did not attract attention from others.
He still remained unnoticed like a ghost hidden in the darkness.
Thus, Lis moved freely like a cold hunter across the battlefield.
His gaze was as sharp as a falcon, tightly locked on those Witch Demons.
Once a suitable target was found, he charged like an arrow off the string, continuously hunting.
Every attack carried an air of sharpness and decisive determination.
The Witch Demons fell before him, turning to dust.
With each intense hunt, Lis gradually felt the power within him surging, namely Demon Power.
This power, like a long-dormant volcano, was now gradually awakening, starting to rampage within his body.
Concurrently, various negative thoughts from his demon bloodline originating from the Abyss, such as madness, chaos, and evil, burst forth like floodwaters.
These thoughts dashed around in his mind like a horde of demons, relentlessly eroding Lis’s soul and trying to drag him into the Endless Abyss.
However, this time, Lis was different from the past.
In the past, when faced with the erosion of these negative thoughts, he would always forcefully resist and keep them out.
But this time, he didn’t just resist; he attempted to immerse himself in the madness that belonged to the demon.
He slowly closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and let his mind gradually calm down.
Then he lifted the constraints on himself and felt the breath of madness.
Gradually, Lis felt inexplicable changes starting in his soul.
The previously pure soul, now was covered layer upon layer with madness and slaughter.
More and more mad thoughts merged into his consciousness, corroding his rationality like poison.
His gaze also changed subtly.
The once clear and bright eyes now began to reveal a heavier madness and bloodthirst, as if hiding endless violence and lust for slaughter.
If the previous Lis was merely a spectator, quietly standing aside,
coldly observing this demon’s chaos and madness, seeing it as novel yet dangerous existence,
then now he had completely changed roles.
He was experiencing it all firsthand, using his body and soul to understand and contact this mad power.
It was as though he was in a world full of madness and slaughter, everything around distorted and terrifying.
But he attempted to immerse himself in it.
Lis began trying to become a true demon.
He mimicked the demon’s behavior, releasing his inner violence and desire for slaughter.
He hunted Witch Demons even more recklessly on the battlefield, each attack carrying the momentum of madness.
His figure traversed the Undead Mist like a harbinger of death, as Witch Demons fled in terror wherever he went.
However, thankfully, Lis maintained control of all of this.
Despite his soul drawing closer to being a demon, despite the madness and bloodlust within him growing, he kept that final shred of rationality.
He didn’t lose control over himself or become completely engulfed by the Demon Power.
He was like one walking along a cliff edge; though the abyss loomed below, he held firm with determination and faith.
Standing steadily on the cliff, not blown down by the furious winds.
As Lis’s soul approached demonhood, the Demon Power within him grew stronger.
This power surged inside him, bringing forth a newfound strength.
Furthermore, his use of this power became more proficient, as though it had become part of his body.
With Lis continuing his slaughter, the Abyss Power and chaotic, mad elements lurking within his demon bloodline increasingly bound him.
That power, like tidewaters in the night, subtly invaded his rationality, filling his eyes with blood-red and his soul with endless rage and madness.
At the moment Lis was about to be engulfed completely, his soul nearing eternal Darkness, he suddenly perceived an unprecedented terror, a chilling will, unexpectedly emerging in his soul’s realm. This presence, vast and old, seemed to have existed since the universe began, transcending time and space, with a pressure that made Lis’s soul shiver.
At that instant, Lis’s soul gaze pierced through countless mists, traversing infinite night realms, reaching the core of the Endless Abyss. There lay a chaotic blend of darkness, the source of all evil and madness. At the center of this realm hovered an indescribable, terrifying will. Without a fixed form, it sometimes danced wildly like flames in a storm, other times as incomprehensible as whirlpools within the Abyss. This will ceaselessly emitted terror impulses of chaos, madness, slaughter, evil, as if intending to drag the entire World into Endless Abyss.
This was the consciousness of Endless Abyss, the ruler of this universe’s most dreadful existence. Its appearance made Space tremble; even the stars grew dim. When Lis’s soul gaze brushed this will, it was like facing blinding sunlight; his soul was tortured as if countless blades simultaneously sliced his soul.
Simultaneously, increasingly terrifying chaos and madness surged into Lis’s soul like tides, rampaging within his spirit, clouding his rationality, nearly losing control. Lis struggled, trying to resist the erosion, but against Endless Abyss Will, his resistance was feeble.
Yet, at this critical juncture, a torrent of abundant, fragmented, terrifying abyssal Knowledge flooded into Lis’s mind like tides. These contained secrets of Endless Abyss, Demon Law, and the universe’s darkest, most evil power. Their influx made Lis’s brain feel as though countless needles stabbed simultaneously, an excruciating pain, like his head would explode.
Under this pain’s stimulus, Lis barely regained a glimmer of clarity. He realized he couldn’t continue, or he faced Destruction. Hastily, he stopped Slaughter, hid in the nearest Shadow, attempting deep breaths and meditation to alleviate his state.
He closed his eyes, calming his spirit, trying to expel the terrifying will and chaotic knowledge from his soul. However, this was not easy. The Endless Abyss Will clung to his soul as maggots, tightly entangling him. And the abyssal Knowledge, like brands, etched into his mind, unforgettable.
After half a day, Lis managed to regain control of his state. He opened his eyes, fatigue and caution gleaming in them. His head still pounded painfully, but he had regained consciousness. However, unlike before, his mind seemed more chaotic, many clear thoughts blurred as if veiled by mist.
"Is this the aftermath of gazing at Abyss Will?" Lis murmured to himself. He knew his actions had violated some taboo, attracting Endless Abyss’s gaze. This gaze inflicted enormous pain and torment, scarring his soul and spirit.
Lis realized he must quickly find a solution, or face endless Darkness and Destruction. He stood, dragging his weary body, stepping onto the path of redemption. He knew this path would be rife with hardship and danger, but he couldn’t retreat. For behind him lay the terrifying will and endless darkness of the Endless Abyss.
