Chapter 205

Chapter 205

Meanwhile in district five, at the southwestern part of Orario, the Freya familia was preparing to begin the raid on their assigned evilus hideout.

“Are you sure about this, sirs? Shouldn’t you take Hegni, Hedin, or some of the Gulliver siblings with you?” a low-class member of the Freya familia asked Allen.

“We don’t need any elves or pallum’s slowing us down. This piglet and I can take them all down with one arm missing,” Allen replied, pointing at Ottar.

Ottar wasn’t offended by Allen’s remark, knowing that this was just the way Allen was.

“Hedin is the acting commander of the reserves. If anything goes wrong, do as he says,” Ottar instructed.

“Yes, sir. Good hunting,” the underling responded respectfully.

He could feel the threatening aura emanating from the two beast warriors, Ottar and Allen.

Without wasting time, the Freya familia took up their respective positions.

“In a few more minutes, the Evilus will be history,” Allen said with a deep sneer.

“Yes, we will massacre them all,” Ottar agreed, his muscles tensed and ready for battle.

At district nine, in Orario, the Loki familia was also preparing to strike their target.

“Finn, we are ready to begin our assault… hmm, what’s wrong?” Riveria asked as she walked over to Finn.

Upon taking a closer look, she could see that her friend was unusually tense.

“My thumb—it aches,” Finn said, casting his gaze on his gloved hands.

Even others could see that his thumb was twitching.

“That old omen again?” Gareth asked, standing nearby.

“Yes, it started eight years ago, when the Age of Darkness began. But today, it hurts way more than normal,” Finn revealed.

“There is also a letter from that Bahamut familia kid this morning. It’s concerning because it’s very plausible,” Finn added.

“Sigh, so what do we do?” Riveria asked with a concerned gaze.

She and Gareth knew how accurate their captain’s intuition could be.

Finn briefly closed his eyes in thought, then opened them and gazed at the crimson painted sky.

“We will proceed as planned,” Finn decided.

“We have already done everything in our power to ensure this operation succeeds. I have also given that kid the authority to act if things go wrong. Now all we can do is hope it was enough,” Finn said.

Around the central area in Orario, not too far from the Babel Tower, Draco could be seen sitting in a chair with his eyes closed in thought.

In reality, he had been constantly scanning the area with his

“Seize control of the base, Alise. Split up your group and push on,” Shakti instructed.

“Capture every single one of them!” she yelled again.

Following her instructions, the Ganesha, Astraea, and Bahamut familias split up to the east and west.

The walls of the hallways looked torn and the building materials were covered in soot.

It looked less like a warehouse and more like an abandoned factory.

A sight that perplexed Shakti, but she didn’t have time to look around.

“They are coming!” Lyra yelled.

The Evilus were spilling out from the second floor like ants, but having noticed them early, the Ganesha, Astraea, and Bahamut familias were able to act.

The onslaught continued as the three familias made quick progress, but it all seemed easy, a bit too easy.

“Something is not right,” Clair yelled, retreating from the front.

Her instincts were warning her that something wasn’t right.

This was supposed to be one of the evilus supposed headquarters, so why hadn’t anyone from the raid team fallen?

Where were all the magical weapons and tools? The evilus seemed to have an abundance of them during the soup kitchen massacre.

They couldn’t have run out, so where were they?

Kaguya seemed to share Clair’s concern, voicing her worry to Alise.

“We have to continue regardless; the enemy is losing numbers fast! Now is our chance to strike a decisive blow!” Alise said, determination burning in her eyes.

Vasiliki, on the other hand, called Michalis and Clair to the back.

She believed that Vasileios could handle himself better than they could if things went bad, so she left him on the frontline near Adi.

Vasiliki couldn’t disregard Clair’s bad feeling, and with Kaguya sharing the same reaction, it meant something really bad was going to happen.

Several other members of the raid team also felt that things were proceeding too well, but they couldn’t afford to retreat now.

They were already too deep in enemy lines, and turning back prematurely would only get them killed.

There was no option but to be cautious and keep moving forward to see what surprises the evilus had planned ahead.
